  • Frankly I don't see what's wrong with this helping Obama's cause anyway. Look at the alternatives:

A braindead housewife/reality TV star, and a braindead landlord/reality TV star.

Yeah, I know Mit Romney is probably the only serious opposition to Obama in the coming campaign, but still.

*sigh* If only they'd got Bin Laden before trying to pass the health care bill...

  • I don't see what's ridiculous about such assumptions. It would be ridiculous not to question what is being spoonfed to you by the officials.

It's ridiculous because of the simple fact that it is an assumption. It's just baseless conjecture.

Is it good timing for Obama? Sure. Is the missing body going to raise eyebrows? Of course. What about Bin Laden's illness? How involved was Pakistan? Etc.

All of those things are valid points and yes they should be addressed. But they haven't been addressed yet. To take them all and make the jump to CONSPIRACY requires a leap of faith far greater than that required to believe "well, we just found where he was hiding finally and we went there and killed him." I mean, really... what's so hard to swallow about that? We've been looking for him for ten years. He was bound to be found eventually.

At least reserve the conspiracy theories for when there is more information available. It's just too soon for that.

  • American pride is blind for the ugly side of coin.

I can assure you we're well aware of these things. And some of us even care.

But the fact that innocent civilians have been killed or jailed does not make up for the fact that Bin Laden was still at large and avoiding justice for his crimes. As regrettable as the past ten years of war have been, none of those lives lost can serve Bin Laden's punishment for him. For justice to be realized, the guilty must serve. And though he may not have had as big a role in 9/11 as he or the media claimed, and though he may have been more of a scapegoat or figurehead, he was still accountable for his role.

And even though Bin Laden's death doesn't justify the innocent lives lost and innocent people jailed since then, it is at least better to have finally brought him to justice than to never have found him at all. He is after all one of the main reasons that we were landed troops the middle east in the first place. So now he's dead, it wasn't all for nothing. A small consolation, and not very comforting, and I'm sorry I can't think of anything better.

  • you know i had enough. you cant just say someone is redicilous without countering his points with facts. ever since i was a member when i ask for help hardly anyone helps me.

when i post a tutorial no one replies, when i offer to make free icons or help someone no one wants. same goes for friends. when a woman who tries to educate kids with construct asks for help no one helps her, everyone ignores her. and i cant but notice that everyone seems to "hate me" so i would like a divorce, how do i delete my account/posts or i just should stop writing?

construct is still a wonderfull tool but i feel like the community dosnt like me so i quit

As you wish. I'm afraid I have to leave your posts because that would break a lot of threads, but I can do the next best thing.

Good luck with your future endeavors.

  • > Isn't Nifflas' Saira made with MMF2 too? I've been under that assumption.

    Indeed it was.

Oh yeah... hmm. Maybe there was more to the konjak story then.

if its a great game, yea i have my right to expect a money flow, especialy if people are allready buying my game. especially when i see two games on steam who are absolutly horrible and they somehow magically made it into steam. kidding me right?

I don't think Steam cares if you think your game is better than other games on Steam. It's not like being egotistical is a submission requirement.

  • He's obviously one of the most evil people of modern times, but it does seem to be a little morbid to be celebrating bloodshed, even when it's the way you wanted it to go.

Agreed. I switched over to Fox News last night just to see how they were spinning things, and when it got to the point where Geraldo Rivera started interviewing a bunch of drunk college kids whooping it up in front of the White House I couldn't take it any more and had to change the channel. Being glad he's been brought to justice is one thing. Partying in the streets is another entirely.

guys osama was killed years ago, the only reason why they say it now is because they want to win another mandate for obama, afcourse cutting the trump show with "breaking news for the president"

well its not going to work, if you americans elect obama again, then you KINDA deserve your crysis

I'm KINDA glad you're not a US citizen because this post is ridiculous from beginning to end.

  • You know, Steam is also like Steam, for indie games . No really, they distribute a crapload of indie stuff.

Er, kinda beside the point though I guess. It's highly doubtful you could get a Construct game onto Steam. I read somewhere that Konjak tried getting one of his games on there, but they didn't go for it simply because it was made with MMF2. So, um. Nevermind

  • Also, the republicans are going to have a field day with this... They'll say.. pakistan cooperated...

Fox News last night was already trying to spin the focus back on Pakistan, questioning how and why Bin Laden was in a custom-made bunker in the middle of an urban area. How could he be there without their knowledge or consent, etc. etc. If Pakistan was knowingly aiding him then they got a lotta splainin to do!

As for the "who cares" thing, personally I don't feel too strongly one way or the other about it. Bin Laden hasn't been any sort of real threat for almost ten years now. I can see how it's a big deal to a lot of people though. I'd rather see him captured and imprisoned for life instead of martyred, but whatever. It doesn't really change anything as far as what we're doing in the middle east. In fact, it's probably just going to make it an even stickier situation for a while.

I will say that Obama probably just got himself re-elected though.

Oh, also one interesting thing. This all took place exactly eight years, to the day, after this:

  • Okay, apparently it was in Pakistan, with the aid and consent of the Pakistani government. That's good, at least it wasn't some black ops Apocalypse Now type thing. And hey, maybe this will help ease relations with Pakistan.

Also, there are fireworks going off all over my neighborhood.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Best jokes I've seen so far:

[quote:38siiy2l]Donald Trump is already demanding to see the long form death certificate.

Breaking News: Peter Murphy is preparing to make a "major announcement" about Bela Lugosi.

...apparently there is no such thing as "too soon" on twitter

  • Okay, now there's conflicting reports saying that it may have actually been in Pakistan, where US troops aren't supposed to be...

  • Special news report on right now, he was apparently shot in the head by US troops in Afghanistan. President Obama is making a speech about it any moment.

  • Voted option 2, but I've never been too into multiplayer stuff so I'm not the best person to ask. I know there is a desire for it though, and it would definitely be a welcome addition that should have been made long ago.
