Osama Bin Laden is dead

  • you know i had enough. you cant just say someone is redicilous without countering his points with facts. ever since i was a member when i ask for help hardly anyone helps me.

when i post a tutorial no one replies, when i offer to make free icons or help someone no one wants. same goes for friends. when a woman who tries to educate kids with construct asks for help no one helps her, everyone ignores her. and i cant but notice that everyone seems to "hate me" so i would like a divorce, how do i delete my account/posts or i just should stop writing?

construct is still a wonderfull tool but i feel like the community dosnt like me so i quit

Nobody here hates (or even dislikes, that I know of) anybody, and if I had more free time I'd try to reply to most topics I casually glance at.

It's sad to hear how hard it is to find help, but the Scrira community is still fairly small compared to other makers, so sadly it's going to take a while before someone can respond.

Also, although you may not get (m)any replies to your tutorials, I'm certain someone is always grateful to have them.

  • All - please remember the topic subject is likely to bring up some strong opinions and possible conflict. Keep it calm or we'll have to lock the thread. Open Topic is here because we think it's fun to have general community discussion, but only when it doesn't get people arguing with each other. Thanks!

  • Who cares? I would assume the families of 911 victims care, and most of the people who have family fighting in one of the 80 wars going on loosely related to 911.

How many innocents have been killed or jailed in the name of 911? How many victims is the so-called war on terror responsible for? Does it justify the casualties of 911?

American pride is blind for the ugly side of coin.

  • > guys osama was killed years ago, the only reason why they say it now is because they want to win another mandate for obama, afcourse cutting the trump show with "breaking news for the president"

    >

    > well its not going to work, if you americans elect obama again, then you KINDA deserve your crysis

    >

    >

I'm KINDA glad you're not a US citizen because this post is ridiculous from beginning to end.

That actually makes a lot of sense, which is why it's probably true. Also a lot of this is being covered on the internet right now, of course not by the mainstream media, which covers hardly anything of any real informative value.

A lot about it is fishy. I mean they supposedly finally catch and kill the guy, but they just dump him into the sea and spread a fake photoshopped picture of his corpse...

Also this piece of news from a few years ago comes to mind: http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/en/doc/2003-12/18/content_291414.htm

    Right.

I think they had him or knew where he was all the time, since they're essentially working together. Whether he's really dead or not at this time isn't really important. They just chose to announce his death at this time to give Obama a good chance of re-election, despite him being a fraud.

I don't see what's ridiculous about such assumptions. It would be ridiculous not to question what is being spoonfed to you by the officials.

  • I agree with karshinkoff, its all a plot.... to stop all the royal wedding coverage.

Darn you Obama, now I'm gonna miss what kind of tea they drank today.

    Also:

[quote:20ijzzkc]How many innocents have been killed or jailed in the name of 911? How many victims is the so-called war on terror responsible for? Does it justify the casualties of 911?

I dunno was it over [s:20ijzzkc]three thousand[/s:20ijzzkc] nine thousand?

  • American pride is blind for the ugly side of coin.

I can assure you we're well aware of these things. And some of us even care.

But the fact that innocent civilians have been killed or jailed does not make up for the fact that Bin Laden was still at large and avoiding justice for his crimes. As regrettable as the past ten years of war have been, none of those lives lost can serve Bin Laden's punishment for him. For justice to be realized, the guilty must serve. And though he may not have had as big a role in 9/11 as he or the media claimed, and though he may have been more of a scapegoat or figurehead, he was still accountable for his role.

And even though Bin Laden's death doesn't justify the innocent lives lost and innocent people jailed since then, it is at least better to have finally brought him to justice than to never have found him at all. He is after all one of the main reasons that we were landed troops the middle east in the first place. So now he's dead, it wasn't all for nothing. A small consolation, and not very comforting, and I'm sorry I can't think of anything better.

  • I don't see what's ridiculous about such assumptions. It would be ridiculous not to question what is being spoonfed to you by the officials.

It's ridiculous because of the simple fact that it is an assumption. It's just baseless conjecture.

Is it good timing for Obama? Sure. Is the missing body going to raise eyebrows? Of course. What about Bin Laden's illness? How involved was Pakistan? Etc.

All of those things are valid points and yes they should be addressed. But they haven't been addressed yet. To take them all and make the jump to CONSPIRACY requires a leap of faith far greater than that required to believe "well, we just found where he was hiding finally and we went there and killed him." I mean, really... what's so hard to swallow about that? We've been looking for him for ten years. He was bound to be found eventually.

At least reserve the conspiracy theories for when there is more information available. It's just too soon for that.

  • Except this really won't help him all that much. If he wanted more of a boost from it, he would save it for the actual election year.

Why wouldn't it help Obama's cause? It helps immensly, his approval rating will go up significantly. Obama kicked off his re-election campaign just in April(link), so the timing is very good in my opinion.

  • Also, starting conspiracies already is a little bit ignorant.

I don't see anything ignorant about considering the possibility of the truth not being congruent with the official story.

  • Frankly I don't see what's wrong with this helping Obama's cause anyway. Look at the alternatives:

A braindead housewife/reality TV star, and a braindead landlord/reality TV star.

Yeah, I know Mit Romney is probably the only serious opposition to Obama in the coming campaign, but still.

*sigh* If only they'd got Bin Laden before trying to pass the health care bill...

  • Donald Trump for president is hilarious.

  • Donald Trump for president is hilarious.

If you're not living in the US, then yeah it would be.

I'm just really hoping that his whole "maybe I'm running, we'll see" schtick is just a lame publicity stunt to boost ratings for his lame TV show.

    But it's probably not

As Patton Oswalt said about Bush during the election 2004, a real sick part of me wants to see Trump win. Mostly because I want to see how hard he would screw things up.

  • Even though they killed Osama Bin Laden doesn't mean we should all stop worrying about terriosm, because he is just one person. Even though his death will definently have an effect it won't end terroism. (sorry, I know my spelling sucks

  • I hope some people don't turn this into a relgious subject, The Athiests don't want to hear it

Sorry, but you just did. Not sure why, but you did.

Also not sure I get what you mean by "the atheists don't want to hear it". You're not being very specific here.
