  • I have the same problem, my game fits perfectly in any screen size but my app is not marked as "designed for tablets".

    This is a problem because these apps will not appear by default in tablets.

    Hi, I made a little shoot'em up with retro graphics for android and i want to share it with us.

    The game tries to combine the gameplay of shmups with fast games (less than 5 mins). The enemies are randomly generated with some rules, and the main goal is reach the highest score possible, and achieve gold medal with all spaceships. Right now there are 2 spaceships but my idea is add more enemies and playable spaceships when i have time.

  • two questions:

    Im using "best" in "show leaderboard" score property, but i get several scores for the same person, how i get only the best one of each player?

    And the second, i tested it with cocoonjs and when works, work fine but sometimes (like 30%) the clay.io screens (login or show leaderboard) dont show, I'm doing something wrong? I'm using the clay.io plugin for construct2.

  • Uhm... maybe its the plugin, but in the configuration of cocoonjs i can tell if i want to configure game center or Google play services, and its the same case in "in-app" purchases and works fine, so i don't know.

    I need some clarification because in my game, the online scoreboard is important :(

    PD: The plugin is done by scirra or by ludei?

  • In the CocoonJS cloud compiler there is an option to enable game center and google play games, but not configuration options for both. Only Google Play Games has configuration in the cloud compiler, and only Game Center has configuration in the plug in... so if what ArcadEd is saying is true then you just have to configure it the same for each one.

    For example give your google play and game center leaderboards the same name and then you only have to make the call once in your game and it should pick the right one dependant on if it is on an iOS device or Android... h

    I'm not sure if it's a configuration problem, but i don't reach the "on failed" event (or "on success") so i don't know what is happening.

    I'm trying to implement the google play scoreboards with the cocoon plugin but i don't get any response from "show scoreboard" or "submit score" functions, i have the "on success" and "on fail" events for both and its like the code is never reached.

    -I have premium account in cocoonjs

    -I filled the app ID with the number that appears next to the game services name, its a 12 digit number, is correct?

    Someone know where is the problem?

    I have in-app purchases too and this part seems to work fine.

  • In my case is a vertical shooter whith touch controls, and i want the ad in "ARE YOU READY?" state and in the "GAME OVER" state, but the banner appears 1 frame while you are playing and is just over the spaceship so is very anoying :(

  • Hi,

    I have a game where i want to use ads when is in pause or in game over, but not while playing. I preload the banner on start layout, and i hide or show the banner when i need it.

    The problem comes because sometimes the banner appears without any call, even i tried to load the layout that contains the banner, change to another layout without any cocoonjs code, and wait... and i get the ad too after 30-60 seconds.

    If i use "hide banner" on every tick the banner is hidden always but the moment that appears again, is visible during 1 frame and its very disgusting.

    Someone has the same problem? there is any solution?

    P.D.: I use mopub+admob and i have the update banner from admob deactivated.

  • I just tried crosswalk with the r156 version of C2.

    With cocoonjs i get 60fps all the time but with crosswalk i get 40fps aprox even with low number of objects. I dont use physics but i use some bullets sometimes, the game has between 10 and 130 objects. Anyway its very early, so i hope that the tool improves soon :)

  • If you use google play (25$, forever) or itunes (100$/year), you will need a bit of promotion in nearly all the cases.

    google play works better with free+ads, because users buy less. Publishing the game 2 times (free+paid) may be worse because the position in the market is modified with more visits, and if you have 2 apps for the same game, you will divide the visits in 2 apps.

    My next game will be free with ads and if i can, i will add IAP for buying the full game and remove ads.
