  layouts are completely separate you can't show one on top of the other, that is what global objects and layers are for.

  depends on the browser, etc... the audio API is not implemented the same across all browsers...

  Blushot You are going to keep running into issues that seem like roadblocks until you get used to the tools. I highly advise going over the manual (judging by the number of badges under your name I would say you haven't) and also going through many of the tutorials. Also Construct ships with many sample projects. Open them up and check the event sheets for a lot of good info on how things work.

  Glad to have you in the community, it has a bit of a learning curve, but is a great set of tools.

  E2GameStudios the visible grid option was added this week, and it snaps to when you click and drag the object anywhere on the screen when snap to grid is enabled.

  cocoonjs, phonegap, appmobi and clay.io all have ad support I believe and all have construct 2 plugins or objects...

  I am assuming that your levels are on the same layout. A common practice is each level is a layout. As R0J0hound said, switching layouts destroys all non global objects...
