  • I think what you are offering is not really realistic compensation. I'm not sure you understand how much work goes in to animation and video creation. Three minutes is a "HUGE" job.

  • I don't think there is all that much wrong with unfinished projects. Like Procrastinator says sometimes you get so burnt out on a project you think your brains about to bubble over like the head on a keg dropped down the Grand Canyon. I have many unfinished projects I started, but felt I was still lacking in the skills and experience to develop them further at their current stage. As I learn more about the software and how to better translate my ideas into gameplay, I can revisit the files with a fresh new perspective, and a bit more know how.

How about a weekly or monthly challenge? We can either do a small game per month, or a capx per week. Someone can choose a topic that contains two of constructs features and perhaps a Noun or character. Like "A Cat on path with a flash"... or whatever. We make example capx's submit them each week, we vote, winner chooses next topic.

  • I found a way of doing it in the "How do I section" (I think that's where I found it). It uses a couple of global variables. You can see if this capx might help....Vertical Scrolling Background

Not necessarily! And by the way, where the heck is all those "flashbacks" they promised us?!

I've been getting dead and frozen links on this site in the last week or so. I just figured they OD'd on Mr. Natural

  • Hi Bammy,

For your 1st question, this tutorial covers that

        tute

One way you can alter an objects visibility is with the sine behavior.

You might be able to tweak its settings to get what your after.

  • firebelly,

Sent you a link in your PM's.

  • Hi Firebelly,

I think there is something about that creamy salmon colored sky that is throwing off the other colors. It seems to be muting them down. The only other thing that caught my eye was the bright red lasers with the purple projectiles in your first image posted. They seemed a bit too bright and I think they over powered your awesome ship. You have some totally awesome graphics in there. I love your ships, and I really love the trailings behind the ship. They look really cool when the ship covers big changes in horiz pos.

    Cant wait to play it.

    No Kiddo,

    Looks like you don't see.

    I'm outta this thread.

  • I love the concept of this game, but It ran really really slow on my pc in FF. I could not get it to load at all in chrome. Could be issues on my end. I want to play it! Waaaahhh <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> (I love this type of game).

  • Wow! Wow! Wow! Bravo!

    Nice thinking outside the box.

  • Excellent graphics! Love the art. Yet I think in some of your layouts the color pallet is a bit off balanced. Other than that its awesome.

"Yeah ... There's not a lot of people on the forum these days , I struggle too :("

We all benefit from rich forum participation, everyone has something to teach as well as learn. But you dear Whiteclaws have probably ran off more visitors than we will ever know about. So think about your comment above, and think about some of the things you say, and ask yourself "would I like to be treated that way?" I doubt it.

  • This is an awesome collection!!! Whoopie ! You rock Construct dude. I wish these were all available when i started using construct. Thank you so much for creating these.

  • Whiteclaws

WTF is your problem !!! If you cannot respect others here than GO AWAY!!!

  • I like the look and feel. Looking forward to seeing more.

I posted here a while back and someone pointed out that this thread gets overlooked a lot and its better to put your wips above in "your creations". Probably get more views and responses.
