  • Makes difficult things more difficult?

  • Can some snow fan explain to me the excitement of snow, for an adult at least? What I experienced was every bus in my city being cancelled, leaving lots of people including myself stranded in the town centre and having to take a long walk home past loads of gridlocked cars, being freezing cold, soaking wet, dodging snowballs from chavs and trying to keep from falling over for the two hour walk, not to mention ridiculously aching legs this morning and a very slow bus journey to work. I can't wait for the snow to melt away and never return.

  • Seriously, anyone involved in hacking or attacking seriously needs to get a life. There's so many better things I can think of to do than that.

eah, they definitely need to get a life. Virus makers for example, what the hell do they get out of it? Penalties for stuff like that should be a lot worse than they are, when they do manage to catch the arseholes.

  • That's amazing, although I can't even begin to understand the maths behind it! I can't wait to see this in action on a proper game, it'd look cool to see the walking be affected by terrain, you don't see that in many 2D games.

  • Didn't slow down for me, looked pretty cool. I can see why this wouldn't be practical for in-game use though. Maybe a scrolling sprite with a Warp effect for the waterfall itself, but still using plasma?

  • The shadow caster behaviour only works for bounding box of the sprite, doesn't take the shape into account. Only thing I can think of is to stick another larger sprite over the shadow casting object that would cover the gaps?

  • problems? as i remember it's like 3d studio max ripoff...well i don't remember having problems with any of them.

max wasn't a ripoff, it was made by the same people, it was just a barebones version geared towards 3D game modelling, and as such, you couldn't render things in it, so it wouldn't be much use for 2D graphics.

I use 3dsmax and Adobe Photoshop for graphics, Cool Edit Pro or Soundforge for sound effects. These are all things I learned back in college, earlier versions like, so I've just always felt comfortable with these. Although my college was pretty crap, the tutors didn't know much, most of us ended up teaching ourselves, 3dsmax especially.

  • Wow, another quick update with a lot of new and fixed stuff. How the hell do you guys get the time?!?

  • Whoa, that dude's awesome, nice modelling and textures there.

  • wow that looks awesome trevor, does it use sprite distrotion, to make stuff look like davids fish?

'm planning on doing something like that with the smaller fish, yeah.

  • Cool stuff all round guys.

Here's some screenshots of a diving game I'm in the process of making. It's a bit bare at the moment, but the swimming engine is complete, and I've got a finished shark swimming around too.

  • Wow, I remember this well, I just figured it was abandoned. Good to see it back and looking better than ever, and we can be sure it'll all run smooth as hell in Construct's runtime.

  • Why yould you need 4 electric razors?!?

  • I agree, it can be quite annoying having to delete and recreate effects and behaviors, although I've never had to delete something I've spent ages on, I can see why it could potentially be a problem. Drag and drop stacks would make things easier.

  • Bloody hell that's nice!
