  • simwhi Can you confirm through your contact that the submission deadline has indeed been changed? I have not been able to get any official confirmation yet...

  • Hi guys,

Has the deadline change been confirmed?

    Thanks...

  • Great update sqiddster, this was one of the best entries from the original rotary contest...

I quite liked the original vectory, flat look of the original, but it sees that you guys are going for more traditional and refined art direction with this version.

    Great job.

  • Ashley , iOS7 got rid of the fullscreen API, the original script generated through c2 is not longer compatible when hiding the address bar.

Have looked for various solutions and it seems that the only option so far is to save the page to home button to play the games properly. Any suggestions on a fix for this issue?

    Many thanks...

  • How about Yes.

We have a helpful and great community here, we don't tolerate that type of language in the forums.

    Thanks.

  • Ashley,

Thank you for the prompt response, i will dig through the SDK.

  • Hi Ashley ,

In regards to the license, personal or business, can i add my own custom Javascript to the native c2runfile construct 2 generates (For example: Add a third party Score API) or directly edit it without having any conflicts with the license.

Thanks in advanced to your response.

Tom , i really like the new design and overall user experience for the new arcade. I believe one important aspect will be a way to monetize our games, this has been a long requested feature and it will be great if we can integrate custom built tools build within the arcade to make this happen.

Overall, great work and looking forward to the new features.

    Regards.

  • Magistross thank you for your help. It is now clear to me that JSON arrays have to be written in a C2 specific format.

Can you verify if this has been written correctly?:

    { "c2array":true, "size":[ 2, 2, 1 ], "data":[ [ ["What is your name?"], ["John"] ], [ ["What color is your hair?"], ["Brown"] ] ] }

Second, Once this PHP is loaded, how can i display both the question and the answer as two separate text objects, in other words how do i split or use the data to display the answer and question separately?

Again, thank you for your continued help...

  • trollface Thank you, for clarifying that JSON encoded arrays are not readable in C2 and for your changes to my .CAPX

I do have two final questions now knowing that the array has to be written in a specific C2 format:

1- Can you verify that this following array has been written correctly?:

    { "c2array":true, "size":[ 2, 2, 1 ], "data":[ [ ["What is your name?"], ["John"] ], [ ["What color is your hair?"], ["Brown"] ] ] }

2- Inside the .CAPX, how can i display both the question and the answer as two separate text objects, in other words how do i split the data to display answers and questions separately?

Again, thank you for your assistance, it has helped a lot...

  • Hi community,

I am posting through a new thread as my first was probably confusing.

Ashley , this is what i have not been able to figure out.

    PROBLEM TO SOLVE:

Inside of C2, how does one work with individual values of a JSON encoded array which was made from an AJAX response?

    FILES:

Here is the URL to view how C2 displays the JSON encoded array:

    LINK

Here is the PHP that C2 loads:

    PHP

And here is the .CAPX file to manipulate. (Open with the latest beta release.)

    .CAPX

So, for example; What if i wanted to split or only display the second value "ORANGE"? How would i do this?

Thank you in advanced for the help!

  • goblynn93: Yes, i am trying to bring the array to C2, the JSON encoded array is loaded through an AJAX post, you can see it in the URL:

    LINK

What i don't know is how to split the data to use it inside of C2, how is this done?

Magistross: I am not familiar with regex, i will look into it, but like i mentioned, this is uncharted territory for me.

  • Hi community,

I have been trying to figure this for an hour with no progress, hopefully an array WIZ can help.

    Problem:

If an AJAX post is a JSON encoded array, how does one split or use the data/values individually for this array through C2?

For example; What if i wanted to only display the second value or "ORANGE" only?

    Files:

Here is the URL to view how C2 displays the JSON encoded array:

    LINK

Here is the PHP that C2 loads:

    PHP LINK

And here is the .CAPX file to manipulate. (These are only two simple events that post the data through AJAX)

    .CAPX

Thank you in advanced for the help!

  • Sounds cool, where can i check this example?

  • Thank you guys for keeping us informed. Can't wait...
