  • Why not just make the function global then you dont need it in every layout.

    "Attack key is down." -> Set attacking to 1

    else -> attacking = 0

    You have to give all your rights to these guys when you enter. It seems like they can just rip apart your games and Ideas and steal them.

  • Ok just wondering because that one Part makes it seem like you cant sell the service which makes sense but you can still sell your stuff. but that statement rich found clears it up.

    Not all educational software is regulated to non-commercial use I believe the student version of CS can be used for commercial use as long as you bought it when you were a student. Ive talked with a few freelance graphics artists that use the student version because of that.

    Oh well though we can still give our plugins away but its a good thing to know in case you do want to sell a plugin you make. All though I dont think Microsoft would ever know/care either way.

  • I think a .GetName expression would be good. It would return a string with the objects name.

    Would be good for saving objects names to files to be loaded again later with the System Create object by name or A plugin that I am working on.

  • I fixed a bunch of stuff with the Scatter options

    Still cant get the layer value to default to 1 so you will just have to set it in the params.

    We dont frown on recruitment. I was just giving you a suggestion on how you might want to show a few things to have a better chance at getting some one to help you. I was only trying to help you not to discourage you. In fact No one here said anything against your post. Everything was encouraging.

  • I just finished my advanced object Creator. It allows you to create objects by name an instantly set the Height Width and Angle. This option allows you to easily create new instances of the same objects without having to deal with object picking. It also has a create grid feature that will do just that for easy grid making. It also has two scatter options one with randomized Dimensions and one without. I hope you find some cool uses with it I know i have one in mind(Thats why I made it )

    Put the .csx in the Plugins folder in construct directory in program files and the .csx file in the runtime folder goes in the runtime folder under the plugins folder.

    Any comments and suggestions I am willing to hear and If they are good I may go back and add them in

  • My post was not to make you feel like an idiot, merely to give you some advice to help you get a partner. We do get some people who come by and say "I have a great Idea for a game!" "But I cant do graphics....and I cant code. Can some one Show me how to do it?" Im just pointing out that with a semi/ fully working engine (Even if it has bad graphics) will be more likly to get some one to help you than just you saying make me graphics.

    Sorry If I offended you. Hope you find some one soon and if not then my saying is its always better to make your own and have them be yours and you'll get better at it, then to rip them off of another game.

  • I dont know how to say this but Honestly when you post asking for partners here it is good to at least have an example of your work. even if you are a programmer its much better to beable to show what you can do. you are more likely to get someone to help you if you have that. Second I dont know when you started using construct but you just joined the community a couple of weeks ago so you may be more likely if you come to the chat and talk to people and yet again show your work. So i,m not trying to be mean just tell you that you are more likely to get help if you show something for it because other than that it seems like a "DO all the work for me" kinda deal

  • The way I see it is if some one actaul pirates your game they think its worth their time and effort to give it away to people for free. So if anything it will get your name out there.
