  • is sharing 1 event sheet a bad thing?

  • The editor itself runs like buttttt. But only with this specific game. All my other prototypes run like a charm.

  • the editor is running slowly.

  • Before my game was running at full speed in the editor but for some reason it lags when I'm trying to do my work inside construct 2. What could be causing this. Any other game or prototype i worked on has ever done this. I have to use the schools computers because my computer is too slow now. It's so strange.

I am only using 1 event sheet for about 15 layouts. I guess that can cause lag.

  • yea i added a physics to a block. When the player jumps on the block it falls and the player falls. Its initially set to immovable and when the player steps on it its movable.

  • I'm having a bit of an issue with my game. I have platforms that start to fall once the player jumps on it. The problem is the player cannot jump off of the platform lol. Its sort of funny but i don't want that to happen.

I want the player to be able to jump off of a platform at anytime. Its like the players gravity goes down with the falling object. I guess its realistic but how can i make it to where the player can jump from falling objects?

  • You can assign even sheets to layers. Whaaatttttttttttttttttt???????????

lol ive been working the hard way smh. Thank you. kisses feet. You don't know how much time and steers this saves me. I love these forums.

Ive been copying and pasting code up to this point. At first i would hand code without even copying. Then i learned how to group and copy, now i know how to share event sheets. WOOHOOO!!!

  • woot.

  • When will scirra have another competition?

I mean i have enough on my plate but i just want to compete. Is it like every 2-3 months?

Ive seen the competition winners from the rotary contest. It looks like fun to be apart of something that cool. It would be awesome if scirra had an atari style competition where designers had to create a game like pong or space invaders. Or anything with an old school feel to it.

  • thx guys. Didn't know the origin matters. Thanks.

  • i have snap to grid on at 64 by 64 and my objects are 64, 64 in size.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I'm polishing off my current game and i finally got my objects to snap to the grid for a more professional look. My only problem is one of my objects is snapping oddly. I have my blocks snapping correctly but when i imported spikes they have a weird invisible padding under it so they won't sit nicely on top of my blocks.

I made the spike in Photoshop with the same height and width. I was on a role until this happened lol. Any suggestions?

  • yup. One aspect of game design is making something cool with extremely limited circumstances.

  • couldn't you say if right arrow pressed and player touching box move box and player until right arrow released.
