    As far as should you make multiple layouts and event sheets? Sure it wont hurt, makes things a lot more organized. I just made an event sheet with all the constants for every level and included it with the event sheet for each level then just added what few events that i had to.

  • I keep searching but I cannot fine anything on these specific questions, any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I have a couple of questions:

    1.) when you set up a hud set parallex to 0,0 and Scale Rate to 0 but unless im mistaken then the layer wont scale to multiple screen sizes with a scale rate of 0? i.e setup on my pc and transfer to android and my hud layer is not scaled but all other are. But when I set Scale Rate to anything but 0 i cannot seem to get anything to be placed correctly even with anchor. Any Ideas? other than resize everything on the HUD.

    Edit: i guess i could also have it resize with events depending on the resolution but was hoping there was an easier way.

    2.) Using Stepping Mode for physics objects to become frame rate independent works great for some physics objects and not so good for others. I'm pretty sure i know the answer, but is there a way to have some physics objects with stepping mode frame rate independent and some physics objects with fixed? or am i stuck with all or none?

  • Yea i ended up using the global variable and setting it to 1 for sound and 0 for no sound, it was a great idea from kyatric. I had alot of sounds in a few different layouts and it allowed me to mute all the sounds without much trouble or having to rearrange

  • i use phonegap build, its free for one private app and free for as many public apps as you want right now. All you do is create your account with phonegap then export your game using the export for phonegap feature in C2. After that Zip up your folder then click update code on the phonegap build website and choose the zip. then phonegap will build the apk for you. very very simple, they also build it for webos, simbian, iphone (but you need a store key), and blackberry. i cannot recommend this service any higher because of its ease of use.

    After that if you wanna put it on your phone just email it to your gmail account and it will allow you to install from there or run in an emulator.

  • Never mind i found my answer, i did not realize that local variables will reset every tick.

  • If i have a few Local vars as the first events in a group then i have 4 sub groups, the local vars should be accessible in the sub groups because the local var has been defined? or am i mistaken? i had a bunch of global vars that i decided to change to local so i could re use the code for multiple levels and no matter where i put the local vars i cant get the event that read the global earlier to read the local now.

  • Thank you, i like the idea of the global var because i already have a lot of sounds in different groups and did not realize that there was not a mute all function heh. With the global var i could effect sounds over multiple layouts. that is a great idea, thanks Kyatric!

  • I am adding a mute sounds and music option to my game and i was messing around with the audio mute and unmute options. I was wondering if there is an "easy" way to mute and unmute all sounds, i was thinking about putting all sounds in a group then deactivating the group. But it just seems like there would be a better way that i am missing. i tried searching the forums to no avail. Thanks in advance

  • Awesome! so its not a actual problem! that's great to hear! now that being said, is there any limitation on layouts? i was hoping to make around 100 levels or more, would that be a problem on mobile?

  • This is very important to me and i need to know if this is going to be a problem because i am only making games for android, im hoping this only applies to desktop and not android.

  • Add the "System>Every X Seconds condition to the Mouse condition and set it to 0.5, that should make it fire every 0.5 seconds while you hold the button down
