recalculate reputation

i recalculated my reputation when i had 1186 and now i only have about 800 something after the recalculation <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I didn't know that existed. Mine wen't from 2,158 to 1,794.

Yeah, it always seems to reduce it. Not sure of the purpose of it or how it works.

I did that back when I had around 200 and dropped to 150. so I didn't do that anymore. I assumed it was leaving out older forum posts.

same here, but i dont remember my previous rep exactly, maybe something like 397. after recalculation 295.

Same here, my reputation down by 200 points within an hour. Not sure if sending a private message costs me the reputation points. <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Mice went down from 5000 to 3500

Does anyone know the reason behind this?

Is it an issue or lack of our understanding of reputation calculation?

I checked other related posts and Tom was stating that the feature was still in beta. That was early last year. I just saw the same thing happen to my rep so it seems it's a slow-progress deal. As long as they keep up with C2, though! Then we're good. :)
