  • Excellent art! Keep sharing! One of the most entertaining threads indeed

  • Cannot do it this time but I hope next time!

  • I was having the exact same problem today.

I have the latest free version (R114 32bit).

You could even put in an angle of 269.9 or 270.1 and it would go 'UP'. But if you wanted 270, it zips to the left.

So I wanted to submit a CAPX file and reduced the code so it was more manageable.

I was able to recreate the problem fine. Then by accident I closed Construct.

When I reopened it, my sample worked properly and my OLD project worked properly, with an angle of 270 going 'UP'.

Could this shed light on the issue?

If it happens again, I will do my best to recreate it and see if restarting it fixes it.

  • I think he wants alignment capability like this link shows below:

  • That is an excellent blog post. Everyone should read it.

Personally, I like to use boolean for where it makes sense. But overall, its up to personal preference and whatever speaks to you.

  • I like the dash-line idea. Great tip!

  • Yes, I know they have a Windows version, but its NOT compatible with Windows XP.

It works with Vista, Windows 7 & 8, and even Windows 2000 Server I think, but NOT XP.

My funds are limited and the only thing I have is Windows XP.

It's moot anyway. I'm totally sold on Construct 2.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Wow, I'm surprised you had a negative experience with GameSalad. It seemed so promising.

I couldn't run GameSalad because I only had an XP machine, but I AM SO GLAD because I wouldn't have gone looking for something else and probably not found Construct 2.

  • Congratulations! Can't wait until I purchase it!

  • I love the summary! Thanks!

  • Thats a great tip Squiddster

  • I only see a black screen.

My guess would be either of the following:

    1) The path location where your images are has permission problems

    2) The path location doesn't exist

    3) The path exists, but your images did not upload

    4) The path is just plain wrong.

    Just a guess

  • Great! Thanks for clearing that up!

  • If there is no tutorial for it maybe someone could be inspired to do one.

I will put it on my list to do when I finish my first game

  • i would probably be using gamesalad now but it won't run on XP.

I am SO GLAD, because I carefully compared all everything and I REALLY REALLY like Construct 2.

I'm still amazed how much Construct gives you free and i will definitly purchase it when I can save some $$$.

    Welcome!
