Im guessing the flash drive was empty before that?

Try formatting the flash drive to NTFS file system instead of FAT32... but only if you DON'T use the flash drive in things like USB ready car stereos, DVD players with USB ports in them, or older operating systems like Windows 98.

See if that works.

Heh, FAT is horrible for storing small files. Try zipping everything - that is if you don't care about running it off the flash drive.

Or you could use it to store any laundry that doesn't fit inside your closet. just a thought
