  • Greetings Construct Community,

I have just purchased the Personal License today and I am very excited to begin working with this amazing tool. I have used both Multimedia Fusion 2 and GameMaker in the past, and neither can compete with Construct 2. I look forward to being a part of the forums and the friendly comunnity!

  • Hello my name is Kwun.

As a child I grew up with videogames (NES good old time) and now Im interessted in developing videogames. Time has changed and a lot of things are easier to do. Software like Contruct makes game developing much easier and which Im using atm. Im working on a mobile game and hopefully my dream as indie developer will come true.

    Thnx!

  • Hello my name is Claude

When i grew up computers and game consoles were not very famous in france, on day while in high school, a friend of mine showed me a program called "dancing demon" this was very simple you pressed key from 1 to 6 and the little sprite on the screen changed position while emmiting a little "bip".

i was instantly hooked up to computing, my first one was a ZX81 (with 1 ko of RAM, i still have it, like a sacred relic) then i bought a 16 Kos extension then many many computers and consoles since then.

my all time favorite are : amstrad CPC (i've got them all), Amiga, i also got some old consoles like the vectrex, the atari vcs 2600, the lynx, gba...

i've tried many game programming softwares during these years, stos, amos, agk, locomotive basic... made a few games (on my cpc mainly) but nothing of commercial quality.

now that i have some time i will try to make some kind of revival of the games i liked back them using C2.

  • Hi, my name is Filipe and i'm from Brasil.

I'm new in GameDev also on Construct.

I read some tutorials and start to do random things just to learn.

Offcourse, as a dreamer I want to make a RPG, but a I know is hard and we all need babysteps first.

So, now, I want just to learn things.

I work as programmer and my hobby will be a gamer programmer, haha.

  • Hi there!

    I'm Josh from Seattle, Washington.

I just downloaded Construct 2, and it's a real blast! I've taken the initial tutorial and I've been modifying it heavily (health, weapon and shield drops, a level-up mechanic) for the fun of it.

I too would like to eventually build an RPG; also I'd love to see enhancements to the game engine to make that possible! (Custom "windows", data tables, etc) Also, I'd love to see multiplayer functionality make its way into the game.

Keep up the good work with this great engine!

  • Hello There This is Adnan for Malaysia.

I want to make a platformer game.

Any one knows of where I can get a video tutorial ?

    Thanks

  • Hi. I'm Devi Ever. I spent the past decade running a fairly successful guitar pedal business. A few months ago I sold it to pursue creating video games full time. At first I tried my hand at Game Maker with a little success, but then I discovered C2 a week ago and everything's changed... for the better. I have never been as excited about creating video games as I am using C2.... just fantastic! :D

  • Hi, I'm Nico and I'm glad I found Construct 2. I'm looking forward in learning the game building skills here. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hello,

I'm Ollimar, a game studies teacher in Finland and a hobbyist game developer. Having used Unity for several years I wanted broaden my horizon and what else is available. After reading the news about Contruct 2's Wii U support I decided to give it a shot.

Looking forward to make and play great games with you!

  • Hello All,

    Micah the Moss Kid here

    hailing from Seattle.

    Nice to see you all.

I'm currently looking to get a more developed grasp of how the games themselves operate, specifically 2D, and making sense out of game code.

Figured this is a great spot!

Just getting my feet wet currently,

but hoping to jump right in soon...

    Thanks Guys,

    Mosskid

  • Hello.

I'm Pete, I really like this game making business and this seems like a great place to do it.

  • Hello.

I'm Finch, I really like programming. Seem that the C2 game design is not as difficult as c++ coding. <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Is there some place where the game designers talk about what type of games work in the current market place?

  • Hello!

My name is Tyler, and I've been an avid gamer my whole life.

I've been keeping an eye on Construct 2 over the past year and fiddling with free version during that time. Today I took the leap to purchase it in efforts to make a more robust game. I'm looking forward to developing on Construct and making new friends!

    Thanks!

  • Hello Construct 2 community!

I am new to the blog, but have played around with Construct 2 for several months.

Just recently updated and decided to join.

  • Hello all fellow constructors! <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

My name is Markus and I recently came across Construct 2 thanks to a friend - needless to say, I immediately bought a personal license in order to fully grasp its features. Though my background is more online services and business related (I have master's degree in marketing and I have developed several online and mobile applications as well as researching user acceptance of interactive services), my true passion lies in technology and gaming, which is why I'm pursuing now a master's degree in the field of SW development. Furthermore, I hail from Finland, which is fairly famous for considerable success in the gaming industry - many of you might recognize such names as Angry Birds (Rovio), Clash of Clans (Supercell), Max Payne & Alan Wake (Remedy Entertainment) just to mention a few.
