not a very important topic but to express my feeling i want to tell that

I came to know about construct through a magazine "Digit"

A magazine? So wait was there like an article or was our software included in a 'game developer kit' or something?

Cool! Can you scan the page so we can read what they said?

That would be cool to see the magazine page.

Maybe this can be a thread where we all talk about how we found out about Construct. I first heard about it on download.com. (I'm always on the lookout for great freeware.)

From that second link it looks like it was included on a cover CD.

i found it because i looked at a forum on TDC and saw ppl saying construct sucked, then i wanted to see what it was formyself and i thought i was dreaming it was so damn good (and that was at build 89 or something )

i first found out about construct on tdc as well (before the craziness) and had to search through quite a few pages to find the link too!

The adventure game studio forums... i think. oh,and 0976 was included on a pc format coverdisk a while back. not where i got it from tho, just thought i should say. my first version... cant remember, early 097x i think, maybe late 096x.

I was googling for free game development and eventually I hit upon Construct.

*wonders what this place would have been like if Deadeye and Quazi didn't decide to go looking for the software that sucked*

Hmm, I don't even remember how I got here :D... I guess I hadn't been using MMF for several years, and then it just came to my mind one day that I could check how things were going in the click realm. Then I remembered Tigerworks, and checked if Terminal Orbit was progressed at all, but the sites were gone. Some time after that, I checked again, and there was Construct :D

I've known about Construct for a while now (sometime in September) and I think I found it through NeoGAF, though I'm not quite sure. I wouldn't have taken a second glance if my brother hasn't been raging on how open-source is great and all.

Before Construct I was messing around with SGDK2, which is a pretty neat tool.
