I think it's kinda funny that the in-testing-phase freeware game-making program, Stencyl, has an eerily similar logo.

Well, it's not like Scirra has, y'know, a COG copyrighted or anything like that.

I guess a lot of people are gay for the cog.

Hmm... I should consider patenting the use of cog for presentational purposes.

Then there's other projects like Game Develop which seem strongly inspired by Construct's way of doing things. That's fine too. This whole idea of "OMFG THEY COPIED THEM!!!1111" isn't a very good way of looking at it.

I think we could all bet on Construct because it's open source and it already has a very nice and growing community who are making fantastic examples and plugins

I mean the OP was clearly wrong about MMF2 and it's not like Construct invented the cog or anything. There are load of similar icons already and even cog icons in the default windows set...

We don't usually lock discussion threads unless there's a fight going on. Just because the OP is wrong doesn't mean his thread should be locked.
