  • yay, good!

    "gamers" nowadays need more skillz <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hi there!

here is a short level of my first creation.

WASD to flight, MOUSE to aim, LEFT to shoot flame, RIGHT (down-release) charge-shoot fireball.

    The wrath of dragon

  • Miro, you might want to use the green dragons at their native scale (or make a smaller sprite), because now their scaling seems to sizzle a bit.

  • Eisenhans, thanks for comment but I think it depends more from the two frames animation. When I have a little time wanna try to resize the sprite to see if there is any difference.

  • Here's a Shoot 'em up I'm working on atm. Nowhere near finished (in fact only started it the other day). Missing some effects due the free version limitation and I'm yet to set all the alien patterns for the first level.

I've developed it so that I can just switch on or off certain attack patterns based on time, which is a lifesaver when creating waves. The health bar works but doesn't as you can't die yet (got fed up of dieing while testing :P ) and the big lazer is way to powerful, would kill you in a second.

The shot speed changed after a few seconds because I was trying different speeds and set it to a timer rather than waiting for a certain event.

I've ran out of events in the free version so this is another game I'm putting on the back burner until I get a license. Anyhoo, tell me what you think.

EDIT - I uploaded the wrong version :P

    SCHMUP

  • Lobo93, solid work. I agree that the controls are a little slidey, but it was really only a problem on the falling platforms. Starting with slightly easier challenges and then moving up to those would help. Definitely looking forward to more.

  • Just a daft mouse trail thing I've created. Nothing special at all, trying some things out. Welcome to use it if anyone wants to.

    CAPX

    DEMO

  • this is my first platformer creation to get familiar with construct 2. It took me just a few hours to figure it all out.

I like that I can destroy objects at the end of an animation.

    Movement: WASD

    Equip / switch weapon: 1 or 2

    Enemies have health (not displayed)

Bullets do a specific numerical damage

Enemies with a hazard suit can't be damaged by the acid gun.

Due to my low rep I can't provide you with a clickable link yet.

    ...best enjoyed in fullscreen

  • haha, that looks pretty neat actually! :)

  • I love the mini-pixel men, they look superb. Keep it up.

  • Another test app. This time I created the smoke manually instead of using a particle emitter. I got the method from a member of this site, MrFlibble, that doesn't seem to come on anymore for some reason. I'd lost the CAP he sent me so had to re-work it all out again.

By doing it manually it allows me to add a sort of physics to the smoke, making it bounce off floors etc. Think it looks OK. Now all I need is a game to use it in lol.

    THRUST TYPE GAME

  • I'm banging my head against a wall with procedural dungeon generation and iOS, the two just won't play well together.

  • hey nice tool C2 my first test, made this in an afternoon.

when i got the time I'll surly make a whole game with it!

  • I just got Construct 2 about two days ago, because I really want to make a full out bullet hell SHMUP game. Here's my first go at the basic mechanics. It lats about 13 seconds or so, tell me what score you got. :D (My highest is 630.)

    dl.dropbox.com/u/3489564/SHMUP/index.html

Arrow keys to move, Z to shoot.

If you die, you need to refresh or the enemies won't come back.

I think it's well done! Just way too hard for me :)

But it's smooth, good pace, lots of action. Love the explosions and how it the yellow boxes all fly towards you.
