  • Hi all!

I'm a game designer and with a friend (2D artist), I've used Construct 2 to develop a short demo of my new project.

Here is the playable demo: http://tinyurl.com/axwv8ll

With this demo, I've found a talented and passionate developer who'd really like to build an online multiplayer version on several platforms. From now on, we'll develop this project at a professional level but I'd like to thank Construct 2 to have helped me build something fun, something I could be proud of, something I could show to people I know, play with them and feel they enjoyed it. Thanks to the C2 community to have provided help when it was needed.

However, I'll probably continue using C2 as a very efficient prototyping tool!

    Few last things before leaving:

    • the demo is optimized for Google Chrome, it should work on other browsers but the result can be slightly different... 'know what I mean.
    • find a friend/family member and enjoy the versus mode, it's twice as fun!
    • I'll probably delete the online demo in 1-2 weeks.

Feel free to give your feedback!

    Bye!

  • Man... I didnt have too much time to test your game but that is looking very very cool.

The graphics look nice, animations are good and the most important, the gameplay is funny too.

    Keep it on!

  • Yeah good work, really nice graphics and fun game - do you not think C2 is able to make the game post-prototype?

  • Thanks for your feedback :)

    I don't think so.

    • Most of the exporters aren't reliable enough, for the moment.
    • Same thing for the multiplayer aspect.
    • I'm not supposed to be the team's official developer. The developer I'll work with wouldn't like to use C2, he doesn't know it and wants to "master" the project (technically speaking) more than I do with C2.

Actually, it was just a gameplay and graphics demo :) I'm satisfied but personnaly I don't think I can do much more than that.

C2 will probably do more one day but as a game designer, I currently see it as a perfect prototyping tool. It's still great.

  • Windjammers! Good ol' times^^

One of the first games I bought for my Neo-Geo!

I love windjammers, and i am looking forward to this game.

  • Ragtime,

    that was fun.

  • Very impressive! I'd love to see these fleshed out into a full Construct 2 game, and I'm sure Tom and Ashley would as well.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Great game, I actually forgot I was testing a demo and just kept on playing! <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Sorry to hear you won't keep developing it with C2. It does have its limitations and I guess you'll be better off elsewhere if you're going for online multiplayer. Best of luck to you!
