How do I download your wonderful capx from China

So, I'm located in China, and recently all the VPN's I have been using have stopped working.

You guys have all these great capx how to's that I would love to see but unfortunately dropbox is blocked in China. Would any users from my area be able to tell me how I could download these files conveniently?

Did you try CyberGhost VPN? it has free edition, but sometimes you need to wait to connect the server.

Dropbox is blocked because there is a commercial Chinese equivilant. I don't think anyone will be knocking my door down any time soon for downloading a video game example, unless it was of poor quality.

Set up a remote web server, with SSH access. Then you can download any files to the remote server and then grab them there.

Just a wild untested idea.

Can't we just send them to you through email?

Or in another host?

If one particularly interests you I'm sure you could contact the owner and explain your predicament and they'll be able to send it over.

A slightly more expensive way which might work is like Mipey's idea: rent the cheapest US server you can find. They should give you a Remote Desktop account to log in to. Now you can surf the internet from the US server, and unless your specific server is blocked you've got the internet as it is seen from the US (most countries have *some* form of blocking at the ISP level, but DropBox is definitely allowed!)

Disclaimer: I don't know Chinese law and if this is the type of thing that could get you in to trouble, I cannot officially recommend that you do it. :P
