Try to remember the sequence of moving pumpkins. Reproduce it according to your memory.
  • I think it might be handy to have the layout/eventsheet tab positions remembered when you close/open a project, since I like to have them arranged in a particular way except I have to do it every time I open the program which seems inefficent (I like my event sheets next to the layout).

    These are tabs I mean:

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • This would indeed be helpful, as I also prefer to have the layouts and their respective event sheets next to each other.

  • do you mean you like when the layout on the right and the event on the left side? so you can edit them both without changing the page ?? and everytime you open construct2 you do that ??

if it like this you should do it everytime you open construct2 :( and maybe it won't fix as ashley said he will see if he can.

if the problem isn't like that can you explain?? more i didn't get it

  • +1 :)

also would be helpful if using two monitors split desktop to remember that on the left one is a layout design, on the right is event sheet.

  • +1 like mentioned by the OP. The way it's on the picture.

Tabs order is important to me. I want to keep each Layout tab next to its Event tab for every level of my game and their order saved:

    /Level1/Level1_events/Level2/Level2_events/etc...

When I reopen a project, the tabs would be in the same order has last time.

    Would be very appreciated.

  • This has been on our todo list for a while, but I'm not sure our UI library will let us do this...

  • As in "I'm not sure we can SAVE the tab order"? or "I'm not sure we can change the way the tabs are ordered"? :)

Also, how are they sorted right now? Looks like it's all layouts first then all events. Am I right?

What about a button next to the drop down arrow that would toggle between classic order and sort all tabs in alphabetical order? This way we could name our layouts and events in a way that will keep them next to each other.

Could even use a numbering system to keep them together AND in order...

    /00-Menu/00-Menu events/01-L1/01-L1 events/...

    What do you think?

  • Could even use a numbering system to keep them together AND in order...

    /00-Menu/00-Menu events/01-L1/01-L1 events/...

Or maybe just a way to order all the tabs alphabetically... this solution would work for me an I'd Just assign Names with Index numbers.

And yep I also like to have my layout tabs besides the corresponding event sheet tabs

  • basti I believe CTRL+E and CTRL+L will solve your issue temporarily. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I end up just keeping all the tabs closed except 1-3, so it's a lot easier to work with that way.

Thanks,Sulli! This method can really improve efficiency when I want to find corresponding event tab or layout tab.

But ordering them in the sequence saved last time is the best way I want.

    Look forward to it.
