New Feature Request - Solid Ignore Select Solid

I think it would be great to be able to define an object as solid (like we have now), but to also be able to specify objects that not register as a collision. this way you would not get so many traffic jams with enemies.

This is a feature I really really want.

Couldn't you use families and disable collisions?

Thanks for your idea. I thought of that but it does not work because I still need the 'beetle' to be solid but not interact with the player.   I want to be able to determine what objects are not seen as solid to another object.

Gillis - I'm wondering if you could, on a collision, simply disable the solid behavior as needed?

On Collision with player > set solid false > Else > set Solid... ?

I also want this feature very badly, but for a different purpose.

space Ape - Thanks for the suggestion.. I tried this but it wasn't quite right because it looses solid for everything and that wont work for what I want. I am currently using a work around similar to this.

Yes, this really needs to happen.

Some type of "selective solid" that acts as a solid for certain objects only.

As far as i know nothing like this has been implemented yet.

And that is a shame. Seriously, this feature NEEDS to be implemented.

Now that multiplayer and shadows/lights have been implemented I really think this should move to the top (or close to the top) of the to do list.
