  • We're using some Webfonts in this game, which seems like it's causing the issue based on the below debug logs. Have any of you run into this?

  • I read somewhere that looping works better if you move your music into Sounds instead of Music, let me know if that helps!

  • On further testing, it looks like the standard c2 loader is showing up (which takes a very long time), and then our custom loader. Are there any reasons why this could happen?

  • I've set it up correctly, but the standard C2 loader is still appearing. One of my testers noted that the loader appeared once, which is interesting. Are there any setup tricks or changes that I could be missing to get this to work? Thanks!

  • I personally think the UI is just fine (although allow a switch to accomodate left-handed / right-handed people) - definitely dress it up some, though.

  • I'll start!

    -Making the player backtrack through a giant world to get one thing, then travel through the whole world again.

    -Not having fast travel in a large game

    -Forcing the player to grind to get ahead

    -Unskippable cutscenes/dialogue sequences

    In general, I hate when game designers don't respect the player's time.

  • If you had all the time, money, team members and skills that you'd need, what game would you love to make? (If your game has a special mechanic or something, be wary of posting it incase someone borrows it, if you aren't ok with that!)

    Personally, I would love to make something like Devil May Cry 3. Something fast, tight and responsive with sick combos.

  • I'd recommend friends and family for the initial batch of tests. Once you've adjusted your game based on that feedback, there are groups like the IDGA and other indie developer groups that either will have people who can playtest, or will actually run playtest events.

  • My primary concerns are performance and rock-solid export options for iOS/Android with memory management. However, I'd love something that would help us set up dialogue boxes and similar things - you could use it for UI, or for displaying conversations.

  • Just curious, is it possible to play Spriter animations without all of the tweening, giving it more of a frames effect?

  • Do you think it would work through a wrapper like Ejecta or CJS?
