  • HI Yes I know you all came in too what the hell is going on there ! is it possible to have construct 3d ? We all love the the easy events system that allowed us to create alot of game. construct is so user friendly and so easy to solve any problem u face with that amazing event system. Look at the picture below! what do you think here im asking the developers and the founders of construct 2. Is it possible to change the xy layouts to a new xyz layouts but keeping the same events system! I am sure construct would beat unity 3d any day if it had 3d! Reply with you thoughts regards, ali

  • I don't have the time or intelligence to accurately convey how hard this would be to create.

Suffice to say this is probably the most requested feature by new members, and it won't be happening.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

thanks for replying , I am an old user and still want to have that feature the world is starting to like 3d more we gotta admit! i wanna see what the founders say! im sure they wanna beat unity or at least compete

  • How is your knowledge of vector math, matrices and quaternions? And are you as good at 3D modelling as you are at 2D art?

Every time anyone suggests 3D features, I think they are totally missing these two points. When we added the multiplayer feature to C2 it was a significant lesson in how everyone imagines it being perfect, a dream come true, you'll never need to learn anything, it will be so easy! But in practice it's still hard work, and I don't think you realise just how many obstacles there will be in your way, even with a tool like Construct 2 doing a lot of the heavy lifting for you.

    Hi Ashley

    thanks for replying

well 3d modelling I have great experience in blender and other software, yes i know it is hard to make and hard work for you lot to do. But dont you think it is a great idea! I would personally buy it even if it was double price.

secondly, multiplayer doesn't seem to work for mobile phones ! i have tried with android and couldn't included in my game!

How much you think the chance of making a 3d one? is it possible at all ?

  • aliweka Have you checked out the Q3D plugin set? Paired with C3's EDK they might have 3D functionality covered entirely.

I personally would just like to be able to include 3d models, like we used to be able to in CC, and just build a map from 3d objects and in 3d space, but the game would still just be 2d and using current collision boxes.

  • Buy the Q3D plugin if you need 3D in c2. Or buy the playmaker plugin in unity3d if Q3d is not powerful or fast enough for you.

  • It would be cool to have a Construct 2.5 thing. But how would you make models and other stuff?

  • hi, i can work with unity3d and i dont have a problem with multiplayer in c2 and i think it's awesome!

i prefer c2 to unity3d just because i like event sheets in c2 (even playmaker it's not the same !)

but unity exports and 3D in construct is a dream never come true !

c2 founders, please make a unity3d with touch ui and c2 event sheets and a system to share and make behaviors with event sheets

  • Q: What are quaternions?

A: All I know is you can fake it with 2 dimenions, and a nickelnion.

  • Q. What is a nickelnion?

    A. If you need to ask then you don't need to know...

  • My biggest wish for 3D in C2/(C3) : "No 3D please!!!!!" Why?

-When you will make a 3d game learn "unity" or "Unrealengine" ...look at blueprint tutorials. with this you can make a lot of things without programming (but with lightning, texturing, normalmapping, sculpting, animations, particles, keyboard mapping.... For all this things (standards in 3d games) are tons of vids on yt and i am sure with enough time the most people can learn this, but behind of this its a lot of work (example: synchron speech lips..... or a speedometer-needle or that a door not rotate in the middlepoint when you open it, traffic at crossroads, steps on different grounds and and and.... heavy i am sure, in the same method in c2 it was very complicated and a lot of hard work too.

-All ---> !ALL! 3d-Makers (without programming and the promise "easy to use") that i have tested are the biggest s**t! With this tools you have no change to integrate your own creative.

-SNES, Amiga 500, c64, Atari ST, msx....... ---> Steam ---> search ---> "retro". The world need tools for 2d games! (A lot of new cool game concepts are 2d.... look at "one finger death punch" or the business-simulations from "Kairosoft" for mobile.

-Lot of games have the groundspecification in the design for 2D-Game

-Construct 2 have a lot of Roadworks.... with the integration of 3D........ uuuhhh........ *NoComment*

  • There's also CraftStudio which has visual programming. The developers recently released a new engine SuperPowers which does much the same thing. There are MUCH better solutions to 3D event/visual programming. C2 just isnt meant for it I dont think.

  • Wow there is alot of suggestions there ! i didnt know q3d for c2 i need to give that a try ! thanks all for replying i gained alot of knowladge
