Nah, the fallout would have been far worse if they had waited to announce these exact features.

This way they don't have to worry about the users who wouldn't have paid for the new scheme anyways.

Now all they have to do is build up the value of C3, hence the trickle of information.

Construct 2 will continue to receive updates as they have been for the foreseeable future. Exactly as has been in the past, if critical parts break they will be fixed and updates given to everyone free of charge.

DaniellMesquito we did allow them for a long time (at least a year!) but the additional overhead of administrative costs, extra maintainence of payment code and the extremely low sales volume together made us decide to drop support for now.
