    2. Thats not really pertinent. More that one? As many as you like.

    3. See #2 with a dose of "what's your platform?".

    4. Anywhere from 1 to 100. Depending of the quality. Even for AAA a well qualified person could do it.

    tl;dr

Feel the urge to buy some knives with a complimentary potato peeler after watching just a little.

  • [quote:2qd06ysg]You could possibly use the Paster object for texturing, but it could only be in quads.

Again, making this just for one game is pretty much a time waster since you can make the maps by hand.

Would't that Paster method require quite a lot of memory.

I would say it could be worth the effort if users could make levels as well. Otherwise I would't bother.

No idea. My guess is if you make each instance have its own texture, then yes, but if you go back and make all the instances that use the same texture at the same time it might work.

  • Its vector based.

Thats pretty much all you need to know, the rest is practice, and skill.

    BTW he's added some splosions

  • Its doable. Getting it to work with webgl might be quite an undertaking.

On the other hand just piecing it together manually isn't that hard to begin with.

  • Needs a combo.

    Like udurllrl= Leprechaun toss

Just need to figure out how to do the rainbow arc, and the trajectories of the coins when they fly out of the pot of gold... at the end of the rainbow... and hit all the flappies

  • He means capacity like the ability to understand the question.

The answer to both is yes, with a lot of work.

  • They need an awful lot of development, not just for strategies, but for artwork as well. Hearthstone has me kinda spoiled atm.

I find myself wanting to make something similar, but dat character development....eeeek.

  • So you're asking for preferential treatment for making copies of existing games?

Perhaps you can afford a piggy bank, and save up like the rest of us.

Might put aside some extra for lawyer fees.

True, the amount that Scirra gets does make the $5 seem ridiculous, but its a hard thing to pass the buck off to the consumer as well.

On the other hand paying for a dev license, as well as getting charged for selling stuff seems silly as well.

All I can say is if it goes beyond the $5 it better be pretty darn good product.

Then again we don't want a gillion "flappy" knockoffs in there either.

  • Well I doubt that a behavior is doable anyways. It was just a thought.

Im just worried there might be some unforeseen issue adding something new to the most used object.

On the other hand there's nothing wrong with adding a brand new object either.

  • Not sure what to tell you as a sale hasn't registered on my end yet.

    What was found, if anything?

Will have to get Tom, or email Scirra.
