You mean when there is only one possible match at that location?

Otherwise it can actually be frustrating for players if they want to swipe right and the game swipes left instead.

These were the only possible moves.

    More of a tutorial really.

Not for a developer, but to teach the player.

  • I spent two days grinding in Suikoden just to get the water crystal that gave a whopping 5 hp regen. yippee

In some of my match 3 demos, instead of creating a swipe directional recognition, I used a single touch trigger.

  • What specific limitations are you referring to?

  • Beautiful.

    Thank you sir.

  • You do not have permission to view this post

  • No.

You give the app (C3) permission to use your cloud accounts via api's made by the services.

At no point does anyone at Scirra have access to anything other than your account at scirra.

Your account at Scirra has nothing to do with any other company, or account.

Scirra has no information other than the login for them, your account standing, and possibly meta information such as time spent at their site.

  • It's either stored in your account on Dropbox etc., or in you browsers webstorage aka locally.

The only thing you would upload to them is an export for mobile compile.

  • Actually we used to have it, but I guess it wasn't implemented for this forum version.

I'd say ask Tom, but who knows what the plans are for the forum given that they have a new space to focus on.

Honestly I'm not sure a forum is even necessary in the subscription paradigm.

    Edit:

    Darn it didn't work

Also, kind of answers the question of why it's not allowed.

  • It doesn't have much to do with the build server, it would be done in the export.

I think some minor encryption is on the to do list, but it's not a major concern for the stated reasons, and many others such as not being a real issue for any major market.

    Pirating assets is not profitable.

Its barely even a nuisance as the dissemination of ripped assets usually only leads to more publicity for the game.

  • Godot uses it for html5 builds, but it ends up adding 50 megs.

On the other hand CC would have been about half the size of C2 html5 exports.

Then again I've got hundreds of megs from Dx9 runtime updates from back then.

  • Arrgh, asset pirates be after his booty.

Sounds kinda creepy said that way....

You can minify the code on export, but encryption on everything else is pointless, and would likely make for a larger download.

  • Maybe someone will do a reverse Emscripten some day.
