  • Awesome,

    I guess this is what happens when you use it for a long time and it gets updated.

    Pushing ctrl and dragging the item would be awesome but this is pretty fast as well.

  • C2 is very fast when it comes to making games. The work flow is fantastic. However, there is one thing that I would really like to change. It would speed up production quite a bit.

    If we could change this to any other sprite or game object this would be fantastic. As you can see in the example if I had to copy and pasted that out to let's say 10 or 20 game objects it would take a lot of time.

    I suggest being able to drag it from the objects menu. And once you have the object you want you can push ctrl then drag that object and relplace it with others.

    By the way is Modularity include passing a variable into a function like...

    fucntion Awesome(A, B){

    A + 10;

    B *1000;

    }

    I vote for modularity features because if C2 does this it will become almost as powerful as coding it. It will also make programming much much easier for more complicated programs.

    My second vote would be find refrences, I get lost in my programs too much.

    Both of these will improve the pipeline so much that we can all make games faster and get back to killing zerglings much quicker ;).

  • Hopefully they make their platform indie friendly. From rumors of other indie game devs that have made games for the wii, the SDK is expensive and the royalty isn't very good.

    Im hoping they change it.

  • Fantastic news!

  • Ouya all the way

  • Numbers work just as well. The only issue is that sometimes you might accidentally set the wrong variable. Also if you have been using booleans for years it is a little weird. It's a low priority anyway but it would be nice to have :)

  • Perhaps we should reach out to ouya to see if some of that kick starter money can help us get games on there. If c2 can easily deploy games on the system it would be a major advantage because there will be more games. The more games, the better the system.

  • How close are we to getting a game to work on the ouya console. As far as I know cocoon.js isn't quite there. But beyond the controller will the game essentially work?

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • The best part about flg is that you can somebody to test your game for a dollar. I find spending 20 or 30 bucks helps your game immensely.

  • At the end of the day C2 is the easiest way to develop your game. Native exporters would be nice but that would take so much work especially for the mac devices.

    Remember that most engines get venture capital in the millions and do a worse job than Scirra.

  • Personally the time saving advantages that C2 offers far outweigh the problems of HTML 5. I would just work around the problems.

  • It is 100% worth it. You wont find an easier engine to get your game realized.

  • This sounds awesome! 2k for Awesomium was a little steep.
