  • I zenned out on this for a bit. Cool stuff.

  • So we HAVE to do this stuff online until the download version is out?

Well technically, the "online" version is downloaded it to your system in order to actually run it. Once it's fully downloaded (it'll let you know when it's done), it can be used offline - if that's basically your main issue right now. The "offline" version is going to be pretty much the same app as the "online" version. Except that you'll have to re-download the offline version every single time there's a new update - if you enjoy doing it that way.

  • If a youtube reviewer like John Bain or Indiegamerchick or someone of that caliber comes across "leftover debug tools in a release build" by accident, they will rip you a new butthole.

Hell if my game was awesome enough to get reviewed by them at all then I'd be pretty psyched .

  • You have reasonable suggestions. I suggest you get them on here : https://construct3.ideas.aha.io/

  • Try Construct 3

  • You have to manually enable Web-GL in Chrome.

  • Hope so. Because me and my crew are ready to use the engine.

Whats stopping you from using it now?

[quote:384lzcod]Plus, when we make a game using C3, will our project run Mac and Linux without configurations?

    Yes give it a try : https://www.construct.net/make-games/free-trial

  • ... and cannot preview in NW.js window anymore.

I want this feature back too. I use to preview in a second monitor using NW.js and all i had to do was just hit F5 each time without having to close anything. Very nice. Can't do this with C3 and it sucks.

  • Is this still being built in C2? Or has it been port to C3 yet?

  • Good stuff here

  • Nice artwork!

  • This looks great, demo?

  • Gonna try this here......

So i imported a project that I originally built in C2 into C3. Runs great without any issues in the preview popup and browser tab (aside from the weird setcolor thing but no biggie). But when i exported it to NW.js and run it from the desktop, i just get a blank window and nothing loads at all. I've tried different configurations - win32/win64, compress assets, re-sizable windows, ignore CPU blacklists, different versions of NW.js and still nothing. I've even tried this on the Mac and still got the same blank window on it too.

Before I attempt to rebuild everything again directly on C3 (which i really don't want to do..) any ideas of what maybe potentially causing this issue??

  • 1. I usually assign key to toggle to fullscreen, specifically the tilde key. This way, when I run the game I just hit the tilde key right away to bring to full screen. Hit it again to toggle back to window. I use to do this with C2, works just as well with C3. Only weird thing is that each time i do it, the window gets smaller and smaller whenever i toggle back. Probably a C3 bug...

    2. Have you tried just doing ctrl-s to save?

  • Just LAUNCHING Sombrero takes about 300MB, and that's with loading most of the assets manually after start and nothing on the layout - just playing a video takes 300MB.

I could have sworn you had a video of Sombrero running on Xbox One and it was actually running quite smoothly....or was i mistaken and it was actually running on the PC?

  • I'm quite interested in seeing how this whole UWP export thing will (or will not) unfold.
