Biim Games's Forum Posts

  • I think it's a good idea and I would add some filters to the kind of assistance that can be done.

For example you can have this options that a tutor at any time can enable or disable according to their skill or free time:

    - C2 developer

    - C3 developer

    - Desktop games

    - Mobile games

    - Browser games

    - 2d art

    - 3d art (in Construct can be used with pre-rendered images)

    - SFX

    - Music

    - Game Design

    - Level Design

I would also add a list of expertise in specific games:

    - Platformer

    - RPG

    - Fighting games (Player vs Player)

    - Beat 'em ups

    - Shoot 'em ups

    etc.

    Definitely interested on the idea.

The price could be a thing to think well about. Letting the developer choose a fee or have a common standard for everyone has their pro and cons in both cases.

  • Hi JarrydHuntley,

I want to add Japanese to some of my games. Have you found a solution to your problem?

    Thanks

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hi piccolodmq,

I can help you with the task.

I am able to transform a tilemap creating a level editor for your game.

I have also created a video tutorial about it:

The project is really interesting, but I have to advise you that without having the rights for each IP, you might face troubles, even if releasing the game for free. My suggestion would be to use similar characters having the same mechanics and avoid legal issue.

For example, Nintendo is very protective of their IPs.

I am currently working on my games and do freelance job with C2.

Feel free to contact me via PM so we can discuss more in details about your project.

    Thank you,

  • Hi everyone, I would like to share my YouTube video tutorials, but I cannot find where to do it on the new website.

I can find the page on the old one, but I am not sure if posting there is it worth. Is the old website Tutorial section reachable from the new one?

    Thank you

  • Hi, I can help you with your issue.

I wrote on your Facebook page, so you can reply me in private there.

    Thank you

  • Just a quick reminder to myself to post here updates.

I have done few tests in my little bit of free times and even my games at 64x64 pixels lag.

I will have to upload modified versions of the games so I can show up FPS and compare while doing tests.

I'm wondering if is it worth to try to install Android and then export the game for that.

  • Nicely done.

  • I will have to investigate better, since I did so many changing and testing (even using my old laptop). For what I have seen now, since it is working, it seems that I shouldn't use " in the title.

Last changing I did and make it work was changing the title of the game page from

Test Demo of "FPS on Rails Template"

    to

Test Demo of FPS on Rails Template

    and it worked!

  • Thanks , I hope it will be usefull

I made sure to comment the code extensively so I hope you understand everything once you do take a look at it.

Thank you, I am sure it will be for sure

That's an interesting mechanics that I was wondering how was working many years ago, and even if I have a general idea today how to do it, it will be interesting to see how you made it.
