    Frankly i didn't make this before, but i found a function in GMS: get_open_filename(filter, fname); it MAY do what you're asking for.

    the last one is to achieve a better performance but i didn't test it yet! Propaganda game has been compiled using the standard Android exporter only!

    The performance is great because it is a native app and the small resolution 800 X 480.

    with YOYO compiler the code will be translated into c++ during exporting which is much faster on mobile phones.

    i know that Propaganda isn't that good to have such rating but your fans can support you and encourage you to be better, so they gave me 4 or 5 stars to say (this is good enough as a start, keep making better games for us)

    and again : i'm not saying that to support YOYO Games in any way. because "ANY" software that can export natively will give you a great performance on mobile devices.

    as i said before many times: C2 is more than great in making HTML5 games for websites (only) , but it's not for mobile phones.

    Ashly refuses to allow native export for C2.

    Gdevelop software is very similar to C2, but it's open source and free, they are working now on a native exporter for mobile phones, when they finish it, no one will use C2 anymore.

    No way because i tested my game on those devices if you want me to share the GooglePlay analytics for those devices and android versions you mentioned above i'll be happy to do.

    as someone here on this topic asked me to stop complaining about C2 and crosswalk performance and as he said "go learn programming", i actually did <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">

    now i'm using GMS (game maker studio) and it's more than perfect.

    i re-built my game and released the 2nd version.

    everything is just fine, constant 60fps on my old device (s3 mini), no single crash report, huge transparent background and huge assets with many frames has no impact in performance at all.

    cpu usage is very low, and the apk size is very small.

    every thing is smooth, stable and perfect.

    can you please tell me why audio doesn't work with canvas+ ? only in webview!

    i'm using audio plugin in C2 and Media plugin in Cocoon.io

    i found the line and replaced it. and i used cocoon canvas plus plugin.

    2 problem fixed : exit action and scaling

    but still can't play any sounds at all

    ads, vibration, leaderboards and achievements are working just fine.

    now every thing is working fine except 3 problems:-

    1- no sounds! i added media plugin in plugin section and tried older versions.

    2- exit (close browser) action doesn't work, using in app browser default plugin.

    3- i can't find this code to replace in C2runtime.js "this.isRetina = ((!this.isDomFree || this.isEjecta) && this.useHighDpi && !this.isAndroidStockBrowser);"

    so for now I'm exporting as Canvas (webgl: off), if i turn webgl: on i get scaling problem.

    i tested the performance of Crosswalk 14, really POOR !!! the skia fix Shell was very good as Crosswalk 7, but the current Crosswalk 14 is horrible in performance! i didn't change anything in my game.

    I'm learning it right now and I'm not too lazy, I'm not even a developer I'm 33 years old artist and have tons of other skills (that's exactly why i choose C2 because it allows me to implement those skills in making games instead of start learning coding from point zero), but no problem to add another one in coding to my list.

    How many players are using Android 5.0+ ?!

    I know that all platforms have bugs but not in performance which is the most important thing in making playable games.

    What makes me so angry with this performance issue is the powerful of your AWESOME software, and you know that for sure, you made an amazing powerful software that can allow anyone to make any 2d game without limitations, so why you insist to destroy it ?!

    As I know you worked so hard on Construct 3 from scratch, you started again from the beginning but with the same concept! again html5 games that run inside a web browser with no native export! You had the chance to correct C2 mistakes!

    After many tests i performed (shown on this thread) I found that Crosswalk will never be a right solution for games, and using the same assets from my game with another game engine like Buildbox gives me a huge boost in performance with only 5mb APK size compared to 23mb with Crosswalk and every thing is working perfectly (ads and GooglePlay services) without using any plugins.

    I uploaded all those test APKs with the html5 game i created in C2 and share it with the Intel XDK member as well as all the members of this forum to be sure that I'm not doing anything wrong, you can test them and compare the results.

    Skia fix gives me a good results and i don't know when it'll be available to build with, but just trying buildbox (an example of a software with a native exporter) gives me perfect results so i came back asking again and again: Please make C2 export just like this for mobile phones, it worth all the time and efforts making this super important feature in C3.

    every one can pay for it because it worth, you can also get a revenue share from our games.

    So I'm here not to say that C2 is bad, it's Awesome and everybody knows that, it just needs native exporter, just one step to make it PERFECT 2d engine ever made.

    I've no personal problems with any one here and i helped you a lot to make a fix with Intel and Google and so sorry for the "noise" i made
