  • I'm using "7Zip". With http://www.ezyzip.com/ the load bar doesn't even start lol.

It's weird, I've just made another game (just a small one to test) and it works, but the game I want to upload is not working. What could be causing this?

I wouldn't use 7zip. I had that same problem with that format.

Delete the old game files and try it again with ezyzip. Remove the index file and upload it seperately. Put all other files in one folder with no subfolders and it should work.

Like I said Kingregate takes some time to approve new games so it may not show up for a few hours.

  • I call it a trailer or tail and there are a few ways to do it.

You can add a particles effect to your layout and create the effect and call it when the player is moving.

You can find lots of tutorials on particle effects.

  • It sometimes takes Kongregate awhile to approve a game so check back after awhile and see if it works.

It sounds like you did it right but you may be using a strange zip format not recognized.

I use this one online and it works fine on Kongregate:

  • It isn't showing any problems in my browser or the layout. Check your graphics card and see if it has crashed.

  • well ok then. thank you very much sir i appreciate all your help!

    You are welcome!

  • It looks like it's because i have them set as sprites. when i made them a tile background it doesn't look lik they have the same issue.. But i need them as sprites so i can set their collision polygons..

and how do you mean window zoom? I use CTRL and Scroll to zoom - i'm assuming that is incorrect?

Yes do not use the regular window zoom controls. Go to the View tab at the top of C2 and you will see zoom controls.

Use those instead. I have had that same problem happen and can be very frustrating but your game is fine and is just happening because the zoom has a bug.

not enough rep to pm. i'll post is here though pal. And delete shortly.

OK I downloaded it and looked and it all looks fine and no gap showing in the layout.

My guess is you have been using the windows zoom in and out instead of the C2 zoom and when you do that alot it throws off the C2 window and results in the layout and sprites looking screwed up. It is a known bug.

Close your C2 game completely and then download your game from your own link and it should be fine. You may have to shut down your computer and restart if that doesn't fix it.

  • You can upload it to http://www.filedropper.com/ and then PM me the link and I will look at it.

  • soirry mate, what is capx?

A CAPX file is a file of your game saved as a single file.

I can load that and look at your layout to see the problem.

It looks like they are being stretched which is probably a sizing issue. That gets worse when you stretch them more.

If they look fine in game play it is probably your snap to grid settings not matching the tile settings.

I really can't help more without seeing a capx sorry.

  • Try Construct 3

  • This is what it looks like when i zoom in REALLY far..

That looks like they are being stretched.

Can you post a capx and I will look at your layout.

  • I've checked them all, it's almost like there is a pixel of space between each new sprite i put down.

I am putting them down as sprites (so i can set collision polygons)

But before this, i was putting them down as Background Tiles, but i still had the same problem. Creases in between each block i put down.

if i put a block down and activate the grid and make it bigger, it's fine, no spaces in between blocks.. only when i put a new Sprite or Tole down it doesn't completely fit seamlessly.

Is this a feature maybe just to let you know they are seperate blocks.. i'm really not sure.

What is the size of the blocks in the editor and in the layout?

Look at the sizes because those sometimes jump around and may have to be reset.

If you are using set to grid to set them that could be the problem.

If you can post a capx I will look at your layout.

  • look at all the sprites. May not be on that one.

Are you stretching the sprites and how are you setting them in place?
