  • Any thoughts on a port for Construct 3 of the plugin?

    Thanks,

  • I used RPG maker many years ago. You should really work on your mapping skills for interiors. The rooms are way to big.

There are lots of good tutorials in the RPG maker forums. Look at this one, scroll down and click on one of the spoilers to see the interior: http://www.rpg-studio.org/forum/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=40957

The graphics you use should be protected by copyright. Just saying.

    Besides that - nice dialogues!

Thanks! I actually have never used RPG Maker, I just like their art. I used Tiled primarily, but I'm definitely still a work in progress there... I will check these out.

Yeah, I'm not actually sure how iffy Enterbrain is with using their resources without permission, especially in a context like this/in a non-RPG Maker project. Probably not too iffy since I saw a game using RTP RPG Maker XP assets on Xbox Live once...not sure if it's still up or not.

I actually use this free site, that is awesome, to get the assets and make all my sprite characters and animations.

As to the assets, you guys are definitely right but if you pay more and/or find the right spots, you can buy the appropriate rights.

  • Problem Description

____ A concise description of your problem here ____

I think this is related to the sprite plugin, when I commented out line 26981, all worked perfectly well. I wasn't sure though if that was the source, but I saw 'scml' and 'scon' near the area of the code so I assumed. Also it only occurs when the js is not minified.

  • I try to play the first episode but the load time is endless... How long does it take? (I've waited 15 minutes in google chrome but it is stuck in the end)

A couple people have told me this and I keep trying to reproduce it but it seems to load in about 9 seconds on mine... ugh. I need to figure out why this is happening...

  • Sorry about that, when i get home i will pull all of this data for you. I apologize for not just doing that at the outset.

I can say from memory i did use crosswalk, but when i get to the house i will pull all of it. Thanks for helping me look into it.

  • Made some major updates performance wise, still trying to decide if load times are too long or not... I can break each episode into a project, which would speed it up, but over the long term there would be more loading just in many chunks...

  • I can't figure out why this is the case. Been working on this project a very long time and fixed a lot of different things in relation to this, but, what is odd to me is that it would be faster on the google chrome app of the website in my phone rather than the exported APK which is basically a wrapper of the chrome browser.

It primarily seems to be the case around typing text, so maybe it's a DT/framerate time thing but that doesn't explain to me why it would not do that in the mobile browser too then...

  • Oh my god I am so excited about this. I think this is going to blow my performance through the roof... Can't wait to report back! Thanks Lucid!
