• Wow! Just stumbled upon this post, and have to say thanks danialgoodwin! I was thinking of how to increase the framerates and decrease collision checks of my game and this sounds like the perfect thing to try! Huhu can't wait to test it out!

  • Sweet!! As someone who just upgraded recently, have to agree that families will help reduce the amount of eyemo, and zbar makes it easy to manage images in the layout.

  • You need to apply physics to the bullet as well. Physics will only interact physically with another object that has physics also applied to it.

  • Haha I guess most of us have gone through being part of a game group and it not ending well.

After reading all that RookieDev wrote, I think I understand what he really means and I have to agree with him. It is not about setting up a company, branding, or boasting to make yourself feel good. It is about misleading people.

Many times these ambitious game developers will use titles like "rapidly expanding International company" (just because they have 1 member from another continent), "game company that has produced plenty of game titles"(most in the development stages and then replaced by the next big idea, never finished a game). "Run by an ambitious professional with over 15 years experience in the field".....(I've been playing games for more than 15 years )

As everyone mentioned, there is nothing wrong with setting up your own company and group, but almost always it is the recruits and members that are fooled. I think many of us at one point has fallen for something like this, and it is an annoying and demotivating experience.

But that being said, perhaps out of 20 startups, maybe 1 might succeed, and that would still be a great thing to the gaming community. Haha I guess in the end, we just need to be careful in trusting what others say, and who we choose to work together with.

  • Phones can already plug into tvs hahahaha

Haha I guess it is time to upgrade my phone

It would agree with you now pixel perfick, but who knows what genius method they will come up with next. Haha I still remember when snake was the best game on the phone. Would never have imagined the quality of games we can play in our hp now. If they can use the watch mainly as a motion controller, I think there will be great potential.

  • If this utube doesn't make you wretch, then by all means start planning for a creepy future. http://youtu.be/U8jsDWV8YpQ

A creepy future with extra cheezy!

Using the watch as a motion control for games would be cool, but I think it might only happen when phones can plug into our TV. Haha swinging our hands around while watching a 4 to 5 inch screen is sure to result in a few phones suddenly flying around.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • To me it's too expensive geek rubbish!^^

    Hahaha

I guess now it is just waiting to be a common product, before someone comes up with a game control scheme that makes sense to the smart watch.

  • In terms for 2d game development, a standard laptop or computer is more than sufficient. You will only start to stretch the limits of the processor and graphic cards when you deal with 3D graphics, and video editing. Normal 2D graphic animation should be ok, unless you are doing something very fancy and complex.

I think a computer with newer specs is best, even if it is at the lower to middle range, because they usually support the newer features and abilities, which foolproofs you computer for some time if C2 ever implements them or you want to take advantage of them. Just check to see all the features they support (graphic card) and you should be ok.

  • Thndr +1

Can definitely see how it would be of great help!

  • Tested full screen in Chrome and I too get no lag whatsoever.

  • Wow! That is really interesting and useful information! Thanks!!

  • I wish I could lock individual things from being selected.

+1 or perhaps visual locked group? Just like how we use families. A small list where we move everything we want to lock to the right side of the menu, and anything we feel we would still like to tinker with, on the left side of the menu.
