  • I am sure it works on older version. But on the latest ubuntu it does not.

    Nodewebkit has changed still looks for an old outdated libudev.so Resulting in major issues with basically any NodeWebkit app running on newer Distros.

  • So effectively Construct 2 cannot export to linux.

    Regardless of where the problem is considering the end user like "us" who use C2 cannot use it to distribute to Linux.

    Earlier i was in a flat spin due to C2 games not functioning correctly when exporting to Mac or Linux.

    The following issues are being experienced.

    Running game on mac, with any form of WebGL fx on a layer makes game unplayable. FPS drops to 10fps. If you remove WebGL fx then frames are high. The only fx used is coloring a layer with the HSL settings.

    Linux returns that libudev.so.0 dependencies are missing.

    Ashley and the community.

    Are there any fixes for the above mentioned issues?

    Or any planned fixes for smoothing out some of theses problems?

  • OK. Even with small games like the flappy bird template it cannot run on mac at playable frame rates.

    This is so sad.

  • I think its got to do with WebGL effects that is used to color the different layers.

  • We tested it on other macs. It seems it lags on every single mac regardless of horsepower.

    Im busy building a beta release for Linux PC and Mac

    Pc and linux runs fine

    But on a Mac Mini the performance is horrible.

    Are there any known issues regarding Mac performance with the exports?

  • ChangeLog was not properly tracked.

    But here is a brief overview of what has changed.

    • Powerups now only require one Button. Collect Fireflies and one you have enough you can use a power (summon an animal) In the past you had one button per animal that you could summon. Instead now the game will decide which animal to summon depending on the situation.
    • When a powerup is available an icon will appear on the top right corner indicating one can be used.
    • New Dog (enemy) behaviour
    • New tower (enemy) behaviour
    • New menu interface.
    • New Scoring system (still under construction)
    • Sounds have been redesigned and polished (not all sounds have been implemented yet)

    I will test again once i switch to mobile version of the game. Last night was just a test to see if the game still runs.

    But alas... i have exceeded the memory limits of mobile.

    Is it possible to run an exported game not in Canvas 2d mode on the Iphone after exporting it with Ejecta?

    I used the latest Ejecta Build, compiled with Xcode but my game keeps running on Canvas 2d.

    If it is possible does anyone have a good document on achieving this?

    Also... would CacoonJS crash on black screen if memory of game is 650mb?

    My iphone has 1000+ mb memory available... so the phone can handle it. Not so sure about CacoonJS

  • Silence. I listen to silence. Sometimes the neighbors dog that barks non stop... but that's nothing a bucket of water over the wall does not fix.

  • Yeah my naming conventions are good. There are a few objects that got lost.

    These are some basics that should be part of C2.

    Searching or filtering for objects.

    Selecting multiple objects... i have 100's of objects. If i decide to change a folder and move objects it takes me 30 minutes plus to individually select them and drag them one by one.

    I did create a topic about functionality like this.

    Even though C2 is a great application, it lacks some basic features.

    Fwumpy i eventually found it. But your method works.
