Go back to page 4 ... The link is there

Plugin seems to be broken when exporting to node webkit. Doesn't animate. Random blocks missing. Using latest plugin and c2 r144.2

    Same issue with r167.2

I know about scale ratio. I was referring to the Spriter object itself (

    ).

Practically I am asking to get rid of the green box sprite helper and use directly the Spriter object for detecting collisions and use of image points. When the character is down, the collision box becomes smaller, example: from 64x128px when the character is standing -> change to 64x64px when the character is down, the scale of the animation remains the same).

I don't know how bad was the delay before but I can clearly see it now on various browsers (Chrome, FireFox, Dolphin, CocoonJS ...) on my Android tablet (QuadCore, 1GB RAM, 1280x800) ... and kind of ruins the fluidity of the game ... I can record a short video if you want more details

  • Bug report (i'm using C2 stable r163, Spriter B7, latest plugin 14-04-2014, Win 7 64 bits)

Not sure if this problem was addressed yet or not: there's still the delay in scml object position when it's set to a C2 box sprite every tick (platformer, when the player jumps: if you keep the player box visible then you'll see what I mean, also pinning does the same delay)

Hope it can be fixed, thanks in advance! : )

lucid I have the same problem

On PC looks good (is not noticed due to high frame rate), but on my Android tablet the stutter/delay can be seen clearly.

Box sprite (with Platform and ScrollTo behaviors) with Spriter animation attached every frame -> Spriter animation stutters when the player is moving

    Spriter Test 1

Spriter animation (with Platform and ScrollTo behaviors) -> The Level/Layout stutters when the player is moving

    Spriter Test 2

The same issue appears in real-time demo ...

Also I noticed that the main Spriter object works like a normal object/sprite (with behaviors and stuff). Can you add some features like changeable origin image point (to be at base, not only at center how is now) and the possibility to change its size ? That would help to get rid of the "green box sprite"

    Solution for your problem:

Levels/Rooms are the Layouts in C2. "System -> Go to layout" is what you need

Yes, I will try a newer build since the one used for Bounce Line was r13x

  • When you open a game on browser will not play the sounds UNTIL you touch the screen.

Of course I did that ... I was in Action Phase and already played for some time ... I thought there was some hidden settings.

This reminds me about this guy who was saying that was making games for 20 years , but he barely had any idea about what he was talking and his game was a mess .

  • That's quite good news

About Bounceline, I don't like Text as DOM element, you should use sprite fonts instead.

In common sense, all browsers on mobile need to activate the touch input on app it should enable the sound. Did you try?

This is an old game made 2 months after starting to work with Construct 2 ... That is why it still uses the Text and not Sprite Font

What do you mean by "need to activate the touch input on app" ? My game uses Touch/Mouse to play

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I've installed Windows Phone 8.1 Dev Preview on my Nokia Lumia 925 in order to get access to the new features .

I was surprised to see how good is IE11 since IE10 sucked big time. One of the most important update is the support for WebGL. Internet Explorer 11's performance can now be compared to Safari on iOS7 .

    Also Touch.Acceleration now works

Nokia Lumia 925 (WindowsPhone 8.1, Internet Explorer Mobile 11)

Battery Level: Does not work, shows 100

    Language, Platform, DevicePixelRatio, BrowserName: Works

    AccelerationX, AccelerationY, AccelerationZ : Works

    AccelerationXWithG, AccelerationYWithG, AccelerationZWithG: Works

    Alpha, Beta, Gamma: Works

    Here are Scirra's benchmarks:

Render Performance 5240~5260 objects at 30fps (WebGL)

Particles Demo 820~860 particles at 20fps (WebGL)

As a bug (don't know if is C2 or IE11's fault), I've tried my old game Bounce Line and the text boxes (not just the text) were rendered black. Also there was no music/sounds. Except that, the performance was great.

so you must run games like death worm in that crappy software on the phone !! its run smooth so... smooth ...

and that game have a good graphic and so many particles and explosion and scrolling and speed and so many object !

    Spoken like a true developer

If you don't like this "crappy software" why not write your own game engine or program your games natively and let us use this software since you are too good for it ?

    > Feel kinda sorry for him, he is about to waste another month only to realize that there is nothing wrong with Construct 2's performance, but rather that the fault is his.

    >

you can make game like rayman with construct 2 ? "you can not"

I agree with "Ughhhh, not another one of these..." ... Sorry generalhak , but the truth is that you lack skills to optimize your game. Have you read Performance Tips ? Had you done the platform game tutorial ?

I've made Bounce Line in 2 months after I've bought C2 and still works good on weak hardware (DualCore, 512Mb RAM) . Now I am remaking it from scratch with all I've learned in 7-8 months of using Construct 2.

Yes you can make great games with C2... See Super Ubi Land

You don't become a game developer in just 1 month... And if you don't like C2's performance (witch is very good, but you don't know how to use it) you can always learn native languages, like C#, Java and spend years to learn the basics of programming.

  • [quote:1xg8nngy]plugin changelog 4/14/14

    • Fixed a bug that prevented the plugin from working when exported with the 'minify script' option

    Great work
