    how is your game running on i.e. CocoonJS?

    I'm just curious

  • the issue is that progress bar or loading percentage were working in the past;

    so C2 apps showed progress bar or loading percentage,

    but now it's not showing it anymore... just black screen

    so there are 2 options:

    a) Ashley changed something in Construct 2

    b) ludei changed something in cloud compiler

    I don't know who, but it would be nice if it could work again

    remove all not used graphics,

    and if possible - downsize graphics images

    in my case, after a few changes, I changed 11-12 seconds loading time

    into 3-4 seconds loading time

    Canvas+ in Cordova project = WOW

    but you could also look into issue mentioned by gonzdevour because Ashley will not do anything about that.

    And black screen is ok for 3-4 seconds, but longer time can cause negative reactions So it would be nice if progress bar or % could work again.

    that's the paradox of Scirra:

    jittering Crosswalk is terrible for any serious games,

    but CocoonJS was the "bad boy" who was deprecated,

    lol

    Soo...

    now we have to wait for

    a) updated plugin for Construct 2

    b) possibility to use it in CocoonJS cloud with Canvas+/Webview+

    and it may take a few weeks (?) so nothing changes for C2/CocoonJS users

    " if you create a cordova project" - the issue is that users of jittering Crosswalk already can use native ads. The real deal is CocoonJS (which works much smoother than Crosswalk) with native ads.

  • you can make great game with Construct 2 but you have 0% guarantee that it will work well on any platform;

    and 99% issues are because web browsers are not created for playing advanced games. That's why we have situations like jittering Chromium (and then Node-Webkit and Crosswalk). That's why C2 games usually use only 1 CPU core.

    And if you will have any problems - just can just report the bug to some 3rd party company and wait for their mercy. And loose a few months waiting for bug fixing.

    That's why Construct 2 is a wonderful toy, but it's not a professional game development tool.

    or wait for better Chromium if you have any issues with Crosswalk

    it makes me sad when I see how many ad impressions I'm loosing without native ads

    anyway I will wait...

    because I don't have other option...

    and jittering Crosswalk is not good alternative
