  • are you using webgl effects? do you have text objects around? are there objects using pathfinding behaviour? did you check in debugger how many collision checks are being öade per tick? how many objects are spawming? what is your layout size?

I know lots of questions but these are what caused my apps to run slow on mobile. also which mobile device are you checking it with?

  • Nafees, hi and welcome to the C2. Your question is around the very basics of c2. I suggest you look at the examples delivered with your c2 installation first. They are even seperated into tiers and very well documented. After that, I suggest you check out the "how do I" forums, there is a sticky there filled with the most basic frequently asked questions.

    See you around .)

  • glad to hear that! I was sceptical about the performance on mobile but was quite thrilled to see 60 fps with my really-large sprite filled layouts. I thought to myself, well, it seems mobiles can handle large sprites now. Then I added a water effect and performance dropped down to 25 fps. (on s4). Maybe it's more expensive than your effects.

  • this is looking very, very excitig and encouraging. Is this for mobile as well? Did you check the fps's with the blast effects? Do they work acceptlable frame rates? This is really encouraging to go into effects, which I tried to steer clear from all the time.

  • It doesn't load for me, chrome, windows8. Might be a dropbox issue?

  • Wow! This has changed so much from the time I played it first! New enemies, new sounds, new animations! Everything works in harmony to create a really nice atmosphere. Love it! It smells of hexen merged with binding of isaac and some dnd dwarf greed thrown in. The possibilities are exciting! Will be folowing this. And you definately need a devblog. Where we can follow your progression easily.

  • This is so fallout-looking. Love it.

  • Pain shared about UI code. It's... almost as bad as making-a-tutorial-pain. Really love this game. Just something about the name feels strange. Maybe about learned habits about fonetics...

Music helps alot in the code fatigue. I was able to keep it up for a week thanks to Bethoven.

  • I think this is a very nice game. Only a couple notes:

Bombs generally count down instead of up. So 3...2...1..0... boom would be better

I felt the gravity was too strong, As soon as you stop touching thruster, you begin to fall down very fast. I think a smoother effect on gravity would be better. Currently to fly straight right, player has to tap thrusters in quick succession.

And finally, while going left and right, it would be nice if the capsule tilted to sides slightly, I understand lateral thrusters do the job, but still a little bit of sway could make it feel more realistic instead of stiff.

I loved the graphics, level design, concept, everything!

  • First you need to solve the issue with the doube tap. This generally is done by using a global variable, ex: tapped set to 1 when the key is pressed, and it is set back to 0 in, say, 2 seconds. If you press the same key again when the tapped variable is 1, then you achieve a double tap. You should probably tie the "double tap timer" variable to a global variable as well, so that you can fine tune it.

İf you wish to keep dashing as long as the key is pressed, this means dash is like a state, you will probably want to make another variable like IsDashing, and set it to 1 when the double tap is complete, set it back to 0 at each key release. (You must store the dash-starting key in another variable as well, because maybe the player can dash to right and left, maybe even up and down)

Below subject has some examples to double-touch event, you could improvise them to suit your needs I think. It would also be a good exercise:
