  • Why don't you use arrays? Are you very afraid of it? Are you afraid of arrays just as I am afraid of Jigglypuff?

Sword swing, you say. It's pretty obvious it rotates, yeah. So either use the stupid rotate behavior for noobs or make them rotate in code. Rotate behavior is easier, but doing it by events is more oldschool. Also, the Terraria sword has an image point at the bottom of the hilt of the sword. And, it sets the position of that image point to the same position where the player's hand is every tick. Or, you can make it move to the player's penis, if you are pervertic/afraid of hands. I mean, being afraid of HANDS make AS MUCH SEENSSSS as BEING AFFRAID OF ARRAAAYYYSYSSSSSSSS!!YSYSYSSS. why ass why ass

  • The newest r142 update broke my dash.

Before it, you can dash in any place and position, be it air, ground or cp_gorge.

But now, if I am not pressing any buttons and not moving even a bit, I press Shift and I can't dash! Then I release Shift, and Hero moves just a tiny bit to the left/right and stops! This is applicable to air dashing: If I don't have any horizontal movement, it doesn't let me dash unless I press left or right buttons! This is bullsh*t!

Oh, and, I was so touched by your dashing performance, people, that I unclassified my .capx file. It's uncut, It's just how it is when I started typing this message.

Oh, and since this is a bug probably caused by a Construct 2 beta release... Ashley !!! I BOUND YOU TO MY WILL

I mean, this WILL be helpful...

  • You do use collision boxes, do you? Oh wait, scratch that. There is a line of sight behavior for AI stuff. By the way, you can call me... Ann Marie! But only if you are partial, to being flayed alive, on a skip rope with your entrails inside out! If not, then you can call me... fassFlash.

Oh, I'm sorry, were you sayin' something? Pardon me!

The sprite editor is used for, quick sketches of what will the actual sprite in the final version be, or for things you don't need a professional image editor for, riding narwhals, drinking babies' tears...

Oh, if I said something wrong, then excuse me. It's just that I find myself suddenly, and irrevocably...

    BOOOOOORRREEEEDDD!!

  • Use Photoshop to draw sprites. Solved

  • :(

  • I use Parallels Desktop 8 to emulate Windows XP and use Construct 2 in there. I think there might be some wrappers out there.

The iOS question has been asked twelve gazzilion fifty two times, just search the answer by yourself.(Besides, I can't help you anyway)

    btw iOS sucks

  • Pfft, I need a team first.

So, can I use source control programs like how I said?

And yes. Some sort of plugin system made by YOU, Scirra, would be nice. Very nice. (And a compare layout condition)

  • I'm not sure, but, in this case, if you make a change, the change will go to the master project immediately, and I want for everyone to make their changes on the same file, THEN submit them to the server( Main Guy). Are you sure you can do it like that with that oogie-boogie scary program?

  • In the current system of caproj, there is a limit to how much people can work at the same time. Like, one person at the program itself, one to three at the graphics part, one at the events, etc.

And though it's a cool system, it's, as I said, limited to how much people can work at the same time. So my idea is...

    Patches.

Let me explain it how it would work in motion.

There is a source capx file. Guy #1 makes a change in, let's say, graphics. But, he doesn't save the changes to the source capx file(Let's call it SCF), but to a plugin file, not changing the SCF at all. At the same time, Guy #2 makes changes to a group in the event system. But when Guy #2 is at work, he doesn't have the graphics change Guy #1 made, since he doesn't have the plugin file. That means that all the guys work with the same capx file. And when 10 plugin files are made, the guys send the Main Guy their plugin files, and he loads the plugin files in his copy of SCF, updating the game with all the 10 changes the 10 guys made. Then, Main Guy sends the v.2 SCF to the 10 people, and they make their new changes to the v.2 SCF, and so on, and so on, and so on.

I'd say this idea is not mine. This kind of a plugin system is used in ROM hacks, like translations. Example: Fan Translation of Ace Attorney Investigations 2. Also, collaborated Oblivion mods.

    So whadda ya say?

  • You most certainly do. Chill out, and try to treat people who are attempting to help you with a little respect.

Here is a capx. I don't know exactly how the Megaman X dash works, but I assume this is what you mean. It should certainly be enough to get you going.

This didn't ACTUALLY help, but this inspired me to do it, with vectors, air dashes and stuff. Thanks! <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle">
