  • Hi all,

    I am trying to create a swipe navigation to move around a map. I have created a test capx using the image below.

    I want to be able to use a swipe gesture (up/down, left/right) to move the map to centre on the next square. I have managed to get my capx to move between the 1st and 2nd squares (red and blue) but it won't go to any others. I don't know why, I maybe doing it completely wrong! I would also like it to scroll smoothly but at the moment mine just pings to the next square.

    Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

    Your example is really good, and does almost exactly what I want. But I don't want to use the canvas object and separate layouts.

    I want to create a large layout (5000 x 5000) and a smaller window (1000 x 1000). When the player swipes, I want the window to scroll to the next section of the layout, so it seems as if its moving through sections of a grid!

    Not sure if that makes any sense, but I've tried a few things and failed.

    Do you have any advice or ideas you could offer.

    I have a variable that acts as a counter, and a variable that acts as a score. The counter runs continuously, and I wanted it to add 1 to the score variable after every 10 count. What would be the best way to do this.

    Thanks for the advice.

    The example is C2's stock 'Autorunner' starter project example, so the platforms already had the bullet behavior attached to them.

    And I'm not really sure that this behavior is what's causing the problems I'm experiencing, but thanks anyway!

  • - yes, I did set the correct orientation when running in cocoon.

    Hopefully the new launcher will help.

    Yes, I have all of the same settings on my project, and it's still not working!

    I guess it must be something else, I'll just have to keep looking.

    Been trying to work out why my game isn't spawning more than 3-4 platforms, but still no luck.

    Tried to find another trigger as per beufreecasse 's suggestion, but no luck there either.

    I'd really like to try and understand just why my current events aren't working properly?

    Can anybody help please.

    Strange that it works fine for you, I only ever seem to get a 3-4 blocks then nothing?

    I'll try to find another trigger for the block creation.

  • Hi all,

    I'm making an endless runner, and I'm trying to use sprites to indicate when blocks should be created or destroyed.

    I set up a for each loop to check the position of each block, and spawn or destroy blocks dependent upon there positions compared to the 'startline' and 'endline' sprites.

    Problem is, I only ever get a few new blocks spawning, and then nothing! Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong? I've added a capx, and my block spawn and destroy events are numbers 5, 6 and 7.

    No problem, I appreciate the help! :)

    Just checked my project, and I've already implemented all of the settings you mentioned, including every layers parallax set to 0, 0.

    Hmmmm puzzling, hopefully your update might shed some further light on the subject.
