  • Is not really working, for some reason, At Start of Layout, SteamCreator sprites that are not in the LOS of the player have the Sine behavior activated. Even if I duplicate the events you showed me and put them as sub-events in an event that looks like this: A Start of Layout

    I am trying to activate/deactivate sprites (sprite creator) that are creating other sprites (effects) with LineOfSight behavior.

    I had a .capx almost similar to what I need now, but couldn't modify it to work, so I've tried another method but it seems that something is wrong with the picking of the sprites ... I think.

    Could someone look over it please? Thanks in advance.

  • - Problem Description -

    I have a "Creator" sprite, which has a few variables, that spawns "effects" sprites, which has a bullet and a fade behavior.

    When the "Creator" is spawning an "effect" sprite, there's an action that sets the opacity of the sprite to "Creator.effectOpacity" variable.

    The problem appears when the "effect" sprite is fading out, it's fading from 100 to 0 instead of "Creator.effectOpacity" to 0.

    I have a few sprites that have different opacity and Fade behavior.

    When they fade-in the opacity is automatically changed.

    Is it possible to fade-in to a specific value of the opacity, or to a variable ? For example, fade-in from 0 to 35.

    I am trying to do this on creation.

    For a few days I am trying to create sprites when another sprite is on-screen and destroy them when they are not on-screen, but with no luck.

    I want to reproduce dust/steam effect and this is the method that works best as visuals in C2.

    I reproduced a .capx with an example here:

    I have a sprite called "DustCreator" that spawns a few sprites for each image point it has and then apply some of its instance var values to the sprite effect that has created. But I want it to create those sprites when "DustCreator" is on-screen, when is not I want to destroy the sprites he created. This way I wont have a lot of sprites in the layout.

    I hope I explained right.

  • Thank you Gigatron. It helps a bit, the sprite it's not quite opaque but almost (If I increase the alpha value the blurred region looks messy).

    I have another question. About a few default distorsion effects: Warp, Water, Water Background.

    Can they be modify in such a way that when the camera moves, their speed is not affected ?

    I mean, if the camera is fixed it animates properly. But if the camera is moving the property values are affected (increased).
