  • Awesome, thanks for the links!

  • If your server is incorrectly configured, it will not serve AppCache or .m4a files correctly, which will break both offline caching and audio in IE and Safari. This is a problem with your server and not a C2 bug. To fix it make sure .m4a serves with the MIME type audio/mp4, and .appcache serves with text/cache-manifest.

This and changing the URL fixed the issue for me, thanks!

  • Just to confirm, adding a AppCache MIME type and changing the URL fixed the issue for me.

  • Hi all,

Anyone know a good place to get started learning about shaders? I'd like to write my own for fun but all the documentation I've found is very complicated. I could do with a primer :)

  • Very strange, I wonder if this is an IE update as I haven't been getting this before. Thanks for looking into it.

  • Yeah I've noticed some issues with exporting over a network with various exporters.

  • As C2 games use canvas, html attributes or CSS do not apply to sprites. There's many ways to achieve this effect. I'd just create a black sprite, set it to be 5px bigger that the target sprite, and change the zindex so that it's behind it. If you then plan to move it, simply pin it.

  • Check out containers.

  • I'm not sure what you mean by border effect - can you post an example?

  • Audio is supposed to work on IE10, and indeed it has in the past. Now for some reason I'm able to repro audio not working with all my games, so I'm not sure whether this is an IE10 or C2 issue. I'm going to raise as a bug.

Edit -> Raised as a bug here: http://www.scirra.com/forum/topic63597_post390097.html

I've been working with IE10 for months now and this is the first time I've seen a problem like this with C2. Very strange. Hopefully it can be resolved soon.

  • Why do you need to do this? What's the scenario?
