  • Hey I was wondering if someone can tell me how to eliminate the margins around a game? I set the margins to zero, and see no options in the css effecting margins or padding. I've previously embedded games in a page under a banner in my own frame. But I need this game object to be flush with the top of the screen as abanner. How do I arrange a games position on a web page?

I have been having the same problems as well. Someone mentioned something about importing ogg's and M4A's, but I don't have any programs that export to M4A. I wonder how other users are converting to sound files M4A.

I'm also going to check out blackhornets suggestion to see if it helps me.

  • It might be difficult to see what the problem is without peeking at your .capx. Did you try deleting the tile from the project bar?

Very interesting! Something about the walk cycle looks a bit off though. I love your new avatar! It was a "dog gone shame" when newt sent his pup to the pound. I'm glad you "aint nothin but a hound dog!"

Thank you very much for the compliments on my game. I just navigated over there and I see its starting to get more plays. It was not intended as a game in the beginning. I wanted to throw as much stuff into a file as possible, to see how much it could handle before the frame rate started tanking. Then the game just grew out of it. It was actually able to handle quite a bit more than I expected (for PC).

I'm really liking your game! You wrote the music too! I like it great retro feel. I also really dig the simplicity of your design.

I went to your game, and didn't notice the gaps you described (I'm on a PC). The speed seemed fine. I really like the way you set up the parallax. However this has me very curious. I've read in other forum posts (I think Arima mentioned it), that "over draw" will cause things to slow down. I can't remember exactly how she described it technically, but I was wondering if having too many parallax layers contributes to over draw.

  • Awesome! Thanks.

Why do I get the feeling there is a big Gator or Crock lurking in those waters? Great work Rockwell. I imagine it will preform well for you, as you have done such a great job of making so much "more" out of "less".

  • Holy Cow! its been way to long since I've checked out this thread. I'm trying to play a little catch up. But man, I had to chime right in with kudos on this image you posted...

Brilliant use of color, shapes, and style. I absolutely love it. Bravo.

Now I got to go pour me a cup of coffee and catch up on some more of the other new creations in this thread.

Welcome to the family! I think there will be plenty of help around here to help you place a giant smile on your children's face. You have inspired me to want to try an interactive book type app. I'm also thinking about making a little music video off of a little whimsical song I wrote last weekend. I made my first little slideshow app the other day, so I'll probably build off of that. I know I too will be seeking help here, as I have been having troubles with sounds in FF.

Good luck with your new book!

  • I'm having the same problem except in reverse. I've done a few forum searches and have come up dry. Chrome is working, yet Firefox is not.

I also checked the ff forums and couldn't find a solution.
