  • I decided to see if I can come make a theme for an app :D I based this theme off my website. It's the colour theme for my rpg :) If could probably use some touch ups.

  • Ashley   I'm loving the theming option. It's great. A lot less strain on the eyes :)However, I would like to suggest a slight redesign on how we use the tool. It would be easier to have a 3 column table.

    Object, visual colour button, RGB/HEX code

    Event Sheet background, colour,   code

    Event background      , colour,   code

    ...

    ...

    This way it would be easier to edit the theme. Also it would be nice if the colour code box could do a HEX symbol check. That way it would also be easier to use various online web colours without pre colour converting.

  • I'm really not surprised. That's pretty standard software sales practice. Often once the license is issued, it's not so easy to take a license back. Not unless it was written write into the sales code.

  • For performance C2 would be better off with a anything but a bruteforce collision detection. There is

    Binary Space Tree

    Qaud Space Tree

    and Oct Space tree

    the idea is to put objects into a sorted branching tree. Only when 2 objects are using the same space/branch would there even be a collision check possible. In this model if the system wanted to compare bullet against enemy. it would check to see if bullet is in the same tree branch. if "no" there is nothing to further check against.

    Where as the current model. the bullet needs to check against every enemy. even if the enemy is on the other side of the screen or map.

    On another note about the entire subject and not about the smurf. I appreciate IFG efforts to assist with marketing developer work right now. The only reason why the most of the community runs "open source" feel right now is because C2 isn't as popular. The technology is hindering adoption(another discussion). Due to that the community is smaller and selling to distributors/publishers aren't as fast. it's picking up right now, but we are still in the more free phase of HTML5 gaming. Once HTML5 gaming proves it self and is fully ready. The community will shift.

    Personally take advantage of the situation now and be on the ground floor rather than missed opportunities.

  • I would rather not say without any kind of reference for estimate. I'm terrible at personal negotiation or cost estimation.

    Well you can contribute by letting us know what features you would like. How you want to interact with the plugins. Our aim is to make network gaming as simple as possible for C2 developers.

  • Can you link to the game that your company payed 750 for. I would like to know the work involved and the art level.

  • Well while I'm glad we are as a society moving towards a single TV hardware. I find that overall the hardware is still focusing on value of hardware power. Feels like MS is guessing what will be mass market rather than understanding mass market.

    I guess we will see how market reacts. personally I think this will sell less than the 360. Though my favourite parts on the Kinect and Vocal. I wish they would toss the classic controller in favour of a better design.

  • I like it. Though I have heard they will eventually support IOS and Web. But I can`t find any hard evidence of that

    Actually as long as you copy an official plugin and make the internal changes then theres no problem. What you shouldn't do is make mods to the official plugins and let them stand in as official.

    So what you want to do is copy the Physics behaviour.

    Go into the source. Change the Name, plugin ID, and other references so that the plugin doesn't get confused with the official physics plugin. Once that's done. Go nuts with all the changes you want :)
