  • I tried out the exe uploaded and one exported from my own pc, looks like Windows 8 crashes with Awesomium for right now. I checked their forums though and they said the next version will support it: http://forums.awesomium.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=31

Edit: This known issue is not cool though - On Windows 8, WebGL is currently not supported.

Well the exe i linked was compiled on Windows 8 and works fine here

  • Np

I haven't really messed around with exe wrapper so unfortunately i can't offer any input on full screen

Keep in mind though that the spaceblaster demo uses lots of particles so i'm sure you could do lots of work arounds and fine tuning to get better performance on integrated graphics cards

  • Here you go

    Spaceblaster

  • If it is indeed you i'm pretty shocked you're leaving GS though it's understandable

  • First people cried because there was no .exe exporter.

Now that one is provided, it's not good enough yet.

Simple solution guys, don't use the exe exprorter, you won't have to pay the price asked for it.

And indeed, the pro license is per application. It's awesomium's policy.

As far as questions about awesomium licensing they should be asked on awesomium's website to prevent misinformation.

As well as cries and "oh they should rather make it..." type of comments.

That's nonsense and a very childish approach

Fact is 2900 is WAY over the top. You might as well do yourself a favor and get Unity, a top commercial product with native export to a massive number of platforms and something that is used even by major devs instead

If you compare 2900 to licenses for C2 competitors like Stencyl or GS it's extremely expensive and it's not whining to complain about that

  • That's awesome

Looking forward to the release, keep up the good work

    Ahh right

    Yea, i agree with you

While mobiles will certainly get up to speed fast i doubt nintendo and sony are really focusing on HTML5 performance on their current handsets

  • jn2002dk

without using native PS Vita access to feature the perfs will be poor ... as for a iphone in fact ... so it's not a C2/Scirra problem ! ... it's more to some product as cocoonjs/Ludei to give access to these features and not to C2/Scirra.

Never said it was a C2 issue...

Just stating the result of my test. HTML5 performance is poor on the vita or at least it was 2 months ago

  • Ashley

I tried a simple C2 test on my vita a while ago and it was even more slow than on iPad/Android, in fact it was unplayable

Not sure if they've updated the browser since then tough

  • Ahh right

Yea, even with Phonegap you're still subject to Apple's whim. I guess your only other option is to look into running unsigned apps on a jailbroken device. Haven't done that myself but i think it's an option

  • If you're developing IOS apps i assume you have the 99$ developer license from Apple and a mac in which case it would be a matter of exporting your C2 project for Phonegap and follow their instructions on how to get it working on an iPad

  • Yea, you need to wrap it to a native IOS app for it look like one. Phonegap can do that

Be advised though you'll need a developer license from Apple to test or install your app unless you're planing on running it on jailbroken devices only
