  • yes see most asked forum post above scroll down and somewhere you will find a post on this topic good luck. FYI angry birds is only a cannon shoot game clone lol

  • I don't understand if I have a tagged volume set to -25 for example, It will only kick in after a one or two times in affect.

    For Example

    On click > left mouse

            > Play sound (Shotgun blast) Tag "Blast"

            > Set Volume "Blast" -25

    unless its set to every tick it's sorta unreliable.

    But if set to every tick.

    Every tick > Set volume "Blast -25

               > Set volume etc

               > etc..

    I causes massive slow downs in Firefox and if you go to full screen watch out you better have a good PC.

    I just don't understand the right way to do this I've read every article and forum post that I could understand. The examples didn't reflect my problem.

    I just need the sound to behave or be controlled proper and neat.

    Every tick volume is out of the question tho it seems the only way the volume works all the time except in Firefox performance DROPS something fierce. Chrome Seems fine until like stated above, when you go to full screen it hates it.

    Please someone show me the way.

    -Edit-

    Is there a way to have multiple tags in one set volume controller and set them all at once.

  • I had lag on Firefox not Chrome

  • Imagine u download a capx example to help with your game and boom door gets kicked in and your arrested for treason. Wow

  • I'm looking for some feedback. I have reached the Alpha Stage in my programming, and touched up some of the art. This is only 1 complete level, and I Draw everything by hand using a Bamboo touch tablet and CS5.

    also since it's all 8bit it's sooo small I can definitely turn this into a mobile game.

    (update) Changed Swing Bat to F, instead of Ctrl. For some reason in Chrome Ctrl-W is a shortcut for exit? isn't that what Alt-F4 is for?

    Dev View = \ (hold)

    Up Arrow = Jump

    Left = Left

    Right = Right

    WASD = same as arrows

    Down Arrow = Sit (while in Car)

    *Mouse Aims Laser/Turret (Player in Car)

    Left Click (HOLD) Silver-bullet machine Gun

    Right Click / Space = Shotgun Fire (2 Shot)

    Shift / R = Reload (Shotgun) *unlimited Ammo for now

    (Update)

    F = swing Baseball Bat

    Mouse Scroll Down = Zoom out and shift screen

    Mouse Scroll Up = Normal zoom

    I can't get none of these working, they always keep calculating from initial position. I need my position to update upon landing under max fall height.

  • kittiewan OMG I'm sooo happy I click through these how do I's

    I was trying to figure that out the other day.

    x: (WindowWidth - self.Width)/2

    y: (WindowHeight - self.Height)/2

    I couldn't figure out how to center text or objects with command, I tryed WindowWidth/Hight, LayoutHight/Width etc.. but didn't succeed.

    Thanks

  • Is this a question? Why have you posted this in 'How do I'?

    I Don't know <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> I didn't know were I should add it. In hindsight maybe creations.

  • That's a great idea KiyowaraKush, but I'm having trouble getting the "Stretch" to happen. when i get it to work, all i get is one long "rope" instantly, there is not "stretching" that takes place.

    I guess i'm missing how to change the length(width) of the rope over a short period of time. i've even tried System every X seconds, System every tick to change the width, but it does not keep changing it. idk, but thanks for the insight KK, i'll keep hacking at it.

    Have you taken a look at the advanced laser example it might be what you need for stretch and collisons.

  • Kids nowadays call anything 8bits...

    8-bit color

    I'm being particularly nitpicky about this only because I love 8bit style graphics. Just check the game on my signature and you'll see ^^

    And yeah, by "sounds" I meant the zombies, they sound like they don't belong in this game.

    One other thing, the collisions could be simplified at some points, like on vertical walls. If you are too close to them, sometimes, you can't jump.

    Yes you are right there is a difference between 8-Bit Graphics and 8-Bit Style/Color. 8-Bit Graphics means your card can only render that and nothing more, and at very low resolution. 8-Bit Style is the same thing just to us, in this day and age, our computers render 16-64bit's of color at VERY high resolutions. So unless you deliberately make the game look like a mix between Atari and Nes your not 8-bit it's funny. If you could turn your resolution down to Nes and put your card in 8-bit mode I think you will see a HUGE difference. you have to remember WEBGL is a Graphics Driver it probably does some smoothing with low level AA.

    P.S I'm not the best at sounds, are you saying I shouldn't have zombies sounds all? What should I have, I'd like to know what you had in mind if possible.

    -Edit-

    I fixed my collisions thanks for the heads up some of my sideways blocks/Platforms were on an outward angle of just over 1.4 Degrees that was causing the issue.

  • This is not 8bit, and the sounds are really out of place. I mean, don't use sounds from one of the most popular games of the year

    7Soul

    "Sounds" plural I made every sound except the Zombies? They are from mine craft.

    It is 8bit?

    as for sounds out of place Google Chrome has not been my freind in that regard.

    Thanks for the honesty I do have to add and rework alot of the sounds but right now it's last on my list.

    P.S and honestly I think i'd feel awkward grunting and moaning for those SFX lol

  • Where do you want it to show ?

    What you copied is html code.

    If you want to display it in this forum (for example) you need to modify it to bbcode.

    Your card would be :

    http://static1.scirra.net/arcade/games/1043/card-long.png[/ img][ /url]

    (without any spaces, remove them first)

    Tom should add a "bbcode" field in the arcade at some point, I think it is on its todo-list.

    Kyatric

    Thanks alot that's exactly what I wanted.
