  • Hmm, now Im having problems when pushing both left and right arrow simultaneously, the animation freezes and does not respond and I end up with a still frame that is sliding...

  • Hi, turns out it was a problem with Firefox. Im using opera now after formating and a new install and all seems to work well. At least for now. Thanks for all the input!

    Awesome! Thanks man!!

  • I would like to be able to switch from left to right animations (and vice versa) without using mirror in code sheet but still retaining the Platform behavior.

I have different sets for animations and would like to use them instead of just mirroring 1 set.

I have managed to work the running animations by introducing a global variable that once a direction is pressed becomes active and through that I trigger the appropriate animation, but I am having a problem with the idle animation facing direction.

    Thanks for the help.

  • I have found some materials regarding my issue, if anyone was wondering the same that I was.

  • Hi everyone, long time no write, life had me occupied and had to take a break from Construct 2, happens

I intend on starting to design a platformer, for PC and for tablets. I have a question regarding resolution, and I would really appreciate any input.

I have been scratching my head for some time now regarding what resolution it would be best for me to start with. Ideally I would like to focus on Ipad and Samsung Galaxy note regarding tablets, as for PC I'm not too sure what res I should go with, either 1280x720 or 1920x1080. I remember reading somewhere a while back that 1920x1080 was not supported by Construct? Or was that just my imagination?

How should I go about this in order to have the least work when transitioning from PC to tablet. I'm guessing to start with a resolution for PC and then work my way from there. Any input would be great, especially from users that have managed to design a game for both PC and tablet, as well as any other users that can shed some light on this matter.

    Thanks a lot,

    Cheers

  • As I'm yet to publish my game I wonder how this works. Say I would decide to keep their splash screen, can I add my splash screen as well? Or is it theirs only?

  • Some really nice info on improving memory when exporting, I will be reading this through step by step shortly! Thanks!

  • A little update on the lag issue. I have installed a new version of Windows 7 64 bit, with no updates, and still I have a lag in the Flappy Bird template.

I managed to make a mockup of my game during the past week and it too lags sometimes.

This saddens me quite a bit, as I dont know what might be the problem this time around, it was not the Windows updates as I thought.

Any other ideas would be welcome.

  • I too have a scrolling bug/issue with your capx, when I scroll weird items appear and disappear, very similar to what you have on your youtube screen capture.

When I move things around, its seems that there is some kind of shadow of them to the right that moves along. The text is beside the boxes, just like you have on your vid.

I am on Windows 7 64 bit, have a GTX Geforce 960 card and its drivers are up to date.
