  • Hope there is a auto scroll container plugin or component in the future.

This is the hardest part when creating business app.

I agree. It can be done using workarounds, but it can take up so much time to just make this simple function. Maybe you should file a feature request for that.

  • It's something we've got on the list of things to look at going forwards - for now we're 100% focused on getting Construct 3 out the door and established as a great game engine.

    Great to know.

  • I agree. C2/C3 can be used to build apps as well, so Scirra should do it's marketing accordingly. They are missing out on some serious user base in my opinion. Ashley , what do you think?

  • My answers for the questions I can answer right now:

    1 - Webfonts.

2 - I use Cocoon.io, but you might want to wait for the official Scirra cloud build to support C2.

4 - I'd say try out localstorage, but last time I checked it erases every time the app is updated. Someone might prove me wrong on this.

[quote:3be3w2h6]The bottom line is that they don't care about your opinion.

As far as I am aware I have rarely seen a company beeing this engaged with their customers. There´s a huge difference between caring about someones opinions and accepting these opinions.

True. Scirra does an outstanding job of being involved with their customer base.

CannedEssence Nice post. A bit long, but very informative and well thought through.

  • Although a kind of reminder of latest names entered in the field would be nice indeed especially when, like me, you are setting the name to use the date and a letter to save the different instances/versions of your project (ex: MyProject_20170522.a)

+1 That would be nice if the field could remember the last used name.

As for overwriting existing local files, I'm not sure it's doable in a browser, maybe only in the standalone version later on. But I'm sure Ashley can elaborate on this.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Thanks for doing all this by the way, it's quite interesting.

+1 Indeed. Thank you for taking the time for creating and showing us these measurements.

  • Interesting results indeed. That gap between Unity and C2/Godot is huge. I wonder what causes that.

I think it's worth noting that 6000/9000 bunnies with an Intel HD4000 GPU in C2 is quite acceptable imho.

    I didn't found any exproting to C2 and I didn't found a page, where you sell C3.

You can't import C3 projects into C2. It only works the other way around. Also, C3 will be available for sale after the jam ends.

  • While I'm sure it would take more than 6 months, I'm also interested in this. Can we expect it in Q1 of 2018 or later?

  • Nepeo Thank you for informing us.

  • I also like the more options we have now for NW.js export. Can we expect a separate NW.js download that is not included in the editor for the standalone version in the future? Thinking about offline installs.
