  • Congratulations! My only suggestion is to watch the reviews and comments you get and respond to your users if they have a problem.

  • Thank you for sharing. I'll try out your game soon.

Edit: I tried it out, feels like a well-polished game. Since it's not in english I couldn't understand almost anything from the texts, but it looks impressive. How did the students react to this game, did it help you teach the subject at hand?

  • Thank you for this summary.

But seriously Scirra, I can understand not handing out Families and unlimited Layers in the free version, but putting a limit on the amount of events one can use? That's a bit of a cheap move. Some of us just want to make a cool game or two without paying an insane amount of money for a platform. Thank you for making Construct 2, great program, but I'm kind of miffed about this event thing.

100 events are more than enough to try out the software, make a basic game or teach the basics of game development, computational thinking in schools. You can't expect them to give you a software that let's you make complex, big games for free. Also, the price on C2 is the best you're going to find in the entire visual-programming market. This is not a cheap move (especially since they are informing you at the store page about the free version's limitations), this is business.

  • Try Construct 3

  • I think he is talking about the stored localstorage values. If you update your APK (install a new version of your game on your phone) the localstorage gets reset. I'd be interested in the answer as well.

If you complete this project, can you share your experiences on this? I'm thinking about how C2 suits you for creating educational materials as a non computer-science teacher? Thank you in advance.

  • Well, it's a bit late for an answer I guess, but try to focus on their logical thinking. Don't teach them and give grades based on how well they can click around a software, but how well do they know the logic. Did the student used a completely different method to solve the problem that you've learned? If it's a good solution, it should count as presenting the learned methods.

  • You don't need to write traditional code to make complex games in C2. But you'll have to master algorithmic thinking. You can't skip that part whatever tools you are using.

  • Can you post a link to your exported game so we can try out as well?

  • You should contact the plugin's author and ask for a fix. It seems to me that it's not compatible with the newest version of C2.

I wonder construct 3 could bring 3d feature...

    No.

does anyone know if there is going to be support for soft body psysics? is there any official annnouncement?

We don't have any information regarding this feature.
