  • Firstly, I saw your objects screen and fell on the floor! There is an easier way to do all that scenery!

    Make one object called 'scenery' or something, then make each image a frame of the default animation. Set the animation speed to zero.

    Now you can set the frame in the layout editor or by events. Just like a tileset.

    About your original problem... It turns out to be a simple solution.

    You will have much trouble with events alone. I'd look into making a plugin.

  • I think it will be difficult for you, unless you find a way to use the exported scirra arcade zip (not even sure if you are allowed!)

    If you can't, I know nothing about these things, but I tend to doubt it as scirra exports for its arcade radically different from their normal export...

  • Well, what kind of AI do you want? I created a strange pathfinding method which works for orthogonal walls only... But you'll need to be more specific to get better help.

    As for guides, I don't think there are any. Make sure you check the FAQ, and of course you are welcome to ask here!

  • I'd have to agree with Trevor. What HAS been achieved is not at all congruent with what CAN be achieved.

    The only real limit at the moment is not the software. The software is amazing. The real limit is terrible browser technology and incongruousness.

    Off the top of my head, there is of course the fantastic Mag?. Unfinished but a great example of classic platforming that can be achieved.

  • I wonder how the rep is actually rated. There is that formula, but it just tells you that the rep is weighted, not how much.

  • I also want to know of this. I assume it's just 'submit statistic'... but how do we choose which one is a 'high score', etc.

    localvalue TempUID

    Pick nearest --> set TempUID to object.UID

    Then use TempUID in the expression?

  • Well the basic health bar concept is to adjust an object's width based on a variable. Perhaps when an enemy is hit, you could create an energy bar at that enemy's position. Maybe it could have fade behavior with fade in and fade out?
