What is a weighted rating?

A weighted rating is calculated using the formula at the bottom of this page:

http://www.scirra.com/arcade/best-arcade-games

It's designed to make the voting harder to game. The more rep you have, the more your vote counts! Users with very little rep (for example new registrations) will have very little influence on the weighted rating.

This should mean that it will be pointless to register accounts to up vote your own game etc!

I wonder how the rep is actually rated. There is that formula, but it just tells you that the rep is weighted, not how much.

sqiddster we keep that secret as we keep adjusting/testing it. For the duration of the competition however it's a fixed value and wont be changing it.

It is really interesting to see the number of games submitted. There are many wonderful and addictive game ideas <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />.

Some of the games have used the rotation in a very innovative manner <img src="smileys/smiley16.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> . I played most of the games submitted and enjoyed playing all of them. <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
